We've only bought (or had luggage replaced) at WDW. I would guess (cautiously using that word) that the quality is about the same. The luggage that we've obtained at WDW is fairly good. It's a cloth cover, so it's subject to the standard wear/tear/damage/abuse by the airlines, and doesn't hold up any better or worse than luggage you'd buy elsewhere. But it's so cool knowing your bags are probably the only ones like it on the luggage carousel... makes it so easy to spot.

I've only bought a piece in the WoD store, but can't imagine that the luggage on the website wouldn't be very similar. BTW unless you're buying reinforced steel trunks, the airlines will kill your luggage one way or another at any given time.

Haven't bought off the website but I did have to buy a suitcase one year while staying at the Poly. The airlines broke the zipper on my bag which I didn't notice until we had arrived at the hotel. The suitcase was still closed but the pull was broken off and it was necessary to pull the zipper apart sort of like a Ziploc bag. Anyway bought a black suitcase with the colored Mickey head embroidered on it so that I would have something to take my clothes home in. This was 4-5 years (5-7 trips ago) and the bag has held up very well. I've seen the same bag on the Disney website.
