IVe just looked at the official WDW site and found that Lucky is around April - July. Is that all? Someone please tell me he will be out in the Summer and during next year? After all it will be still the celebration! I would love the chance to meet this guy!

That is correct. Remember this is the first major outing for Lucky on a daily basis, and it isn't designed to be in operation constantly. Hopefully if it's a success, Lucky will be just the first of future walk-around-AA's that will be in the parks everyday.

I'm hoping he'll still be around in November 2005. I know he's only scheduled until July, but I can hope that it'll be extended. I was so excited that I'd finally get to see this amazing animatronic that I've heard about, then disheartened to see that he'd only be there through July (when I won't get to visit until November).

I wonder if Disney is only promising a three-month stay so they can, if they need to, pull Lucky back to Disneyland to jazz up their offerings. This is Disneyland's birthday, even if Disney wants you to forget about that.

Heck, if they can show people are coming to the resort just to see Lucky, they could put him on tour and send him to Paris as well to pump up their year as well.

The reason that Lucky is listed for only May to July is simply Imagineering does not know what the stress on Lucky will be for a full year. If Lucky works out great for May, June, and July then he may be here for August. If everything is still ok, then he stays for September, etc. Disney is not going to promise a full year and then pull him early if he cannot take the stress. Rather Disney is better to promise 3 months and then say "Lucky is staying longer!"

This is new technology...I'm sure they're concerned about the wear and tear that will be put on him...and only want to promise a 2 month span. I'm sure once he gets looked at after the 2 month span, they'll fix what needs to be fixed (if anything), and send him back out in the public eye. (A little like a soft opening...even though most would consider that to have been in DCA).

Oh, and I'm sure you won't see him walking around in the rain (unless his skin is waterproof).
