I saw a clip of him on a Travel Channel special a couple of months ago. The imagineers brought him out in Disneyland for some dry runs to see how the technology would hold up and to get some reactions from the crowd.

It seemed to be very life-like and neet to watch. It should be cool, but for an attraction, I don't know if everyone would be able to see it or interact with it.

I also saw something on TV about this. It is the first of many roaming animatronic characters that Disney is working on. This is supposed to be the "new frontier" in imagineering and AAs. If it is done well it could be a great add, but if it is not it could turn in to a scene out of the Simpson's Itchy and Scratchy Land.

This technology could literally change the face of darkrides. It would great to see more darkrides based on this...

That is supposed to be the main application for this technology. The applications could be Winnie the Pooh (insert any favorite character) walking around the scenes in a dark ride.

Imagine a Hall of Presidents with them walking everywhere.

There is a lot of potential there.

He was built in California. Rather than ship him all the way to Florida for a test run, they sent him to DCA to test him and try to attract some people to a struggling park.
