Lucas Landing

This is my idea for a new section of DHS, called Lucas Landing. It replaces the Echo Lake area. The area will be split into 2 parts, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Here is what will be replaced:

Star Tours becomes Star Tours 2.0
The 50's Prime Time becomes the Mos Eisley cantina.
Hollywood and Vine becomes the Indiana Jones Tavern.
Indy Stunt Show becomes Indy Adventure.
Sounds Dangerous becomes Meet Master Yoda.
ATAS Plaza becomes Jedi Hall of Fame.
Gertie becomes Indiana Jones' Adventrous Ice Cream and Treats
Min and Bill's becomes Millenium Falcon Restaurant.
American Idol becomes part of Hollywood Boulevard.
Everything else stays.
Echo Lake becomes Lucas Lake, and Indy's Plane is placed in the middle of it.

Epic. Mos Eisley cantina better include that crazy band from the movies....ATAS could be replaced to a more fitting area of the park such as inside the gates of the Disney Animation Studios.....but The 50's Primetime could be updated to an American Graffiti themed resturant (remember thats a lucas film)

True... but I'm really only aiming for Indy and Star Wars.

Now... to explain everything.

Star Tours 2.0: a reworked version of the original Star Tours. It will be 3-D and be randomly chosen from a whole bunch of beginnings, middles, and ends.

Mos Eisley Cantina: basically an exact model of the one in the movie. It will have an AA band (the one from the movie) and a bar that serves a variety of beverages, including that blue drink. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke, Obi-Wan, and Greedo make appearances.

Indiana Jones Tavern: An Indy themed restaurant themed to the Egyptian market in Raiders, that even includes a monkey handler. Indy and Marion also stop by tables to talk to guests.

Indy Adventure: It's a Temple of Doom mine cart roller coaster with two different tracks, incorporating AA's, rolling ball, and launching darts.

Meet Master Yoda: This is my favorite. Using the new living character technology from TTWC and Laugh Floor, you will be able to interact with the famed Jedi Master.

Jedi Hall of Fame: Basically the ATAS Plaza... but with busts of famous Jedis such as Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Count Dooku, and others.

Indiana Jone's Adventure Ice Cream and Treats: Could use a new name... but is basically what you think it is. Instead of the dinosaur, there is an Indy-themed hut.

Millenium Falcon Restaurant: Another one of my favorites... it's a counter service restaurant inside Han Solo's ship. You can even play holographic chess.

It all sounds great! Especially the cantina! Very doable, I think it would breathe new life into DHS and the Echo Lake area.

Yeah, the only thing slightly outlandish is the IJA because that was really expensive to build at DL back in the nineties, and on top of the raising prices, there would most likely be improvements added to make it better than DL's.

Indy Adventure: Any ideas for this one? I don't want it to be the same as Disneyland's.

How about a long-awaited re-creation of the mine cart chase from the temple of doom, with a rolling ball and the throwing dart effects added from the DL version just because they're cool.

Imagine it... two different tracks, each with they're own unique scenes, and the carts from the two different tracks beautifully synchronize with each other at various points throughout the ride...

So what you're saying is it's not using the vehicle like in DINOSAUR?

That's actually a good idea because there is no real need for two EMV attractions.

I added it in as the Indiana Jones Mine Cart Coaster.

Also... I forgot about the Jedi Training Academy and Backlot Express. I'll add those now.


Jedi Training Academy: The show from DL where Darth Vader and Darth Maul and some Stormtroopers rise from the floor, instead of the one currently at the Studios.

The Backlot Express will become a really cool IJ playground where kids can swing on ropes over foam filled pits, explore caves, climb rock walls, etc.

Also, all the buildings that currently don't fit in with the theme will either be decorated all futuristic for Star Wars and like the Raiders market for IJ.

How does this sound?

X-WING FLYERS: A Dumbo-style ride. You can take flight in one of the Rebellion X-Wing Fighters like in Star Wars IV: A New Hope!

Sounds Good to me. I'm not a fan of Episodes 2 and 3... and Clone Wars is ridiculous. Episode 1 is pretty good.
