I LOVED this movie. It is so cute and SO SWEET, and I know there was some criticism of not making the main characters LGBTQ+, but I think it's important that kids see that platonic friendships are important, too! Deeply emotional platonic friendships are also so important, and I don't think enough emphasis is placed on them. Also, Italians are incredibly affectionate people, and I think the movie did a good job with that, too. It's such a sweet film! Not every movie has to have a BAD GUY OVERLORD or some life-changing, universe altering thing. You have to remember these movies are for children, and for children, sometimes a bike race is really the biggest deal in the universe!
