Hey there I believe it is about $50 bucks a person and I believe the Disney Club gives a moderate discount on that. Check www.WDWIG.COM for menus of all of the restaurants of Disneyworld. There is a section about the luau(spelling??) as we as some guest reviews. Good luck.

Visit this website and ask for the prices. I think it's about $50 per person. Sounds pretty pricey, but it's well worth it. :animwink:

Thanks guys! I went to it my last visit to WDW (April '02) and had a blast! No clue on the price though. Because my sister used her CM discount. So I have no clue how much it is! :p

Don't want to put a damper on things, and this is just my opinion, others will disagree, but I think the Luau isn't worth the price anymore.

I used to go every year down, the last time we did the Luau was in '96, butt we did it every time down before and it just got worse every year. The food was nowhere near as good as past years. It was supposed to be all you can eat, but they ran out of food. Heck, I didn't even get a second helping of anything.

And the show was basically a fashion show of the clothes from past to present, plust the fire show.

It was boring, and dull, and with the food issues, we had to stop and eat later 'cos none of us got a good meal.

It was not like this years ago, and we were all very dissapointed because the Luau had become a tradition to see every time down.

Maybe they have gotten there act together in the past 5 years, and I hope they have, but I'd ask for more opinions before doing this show. Others here have probebly been there more recently than I have, thus their opinions would bear more weight than mine. But unless they got their act together, I'd pass on this show.

Good thing, there are two other Disney shows at FW and Contem. Resorts.

Well, when we went (it was our first time) it was awesome! They had the whole dancing thing...the fire....the food. We got as much food as we wanted. We asked for some more & they brought it right to us. (The cake was the best!)

Sounds like they may have changed their ways. I'm very happy to hear that. We are going to do Ohanna's for dinner on our trip in Oct, so that will be our time at Poly. this trip. We always like to visit that resort. It's such a nice place.

Maybe we'll have to consider the show again.

Can you elabriate on the show. The last time down it was a fashion show, one hula dance with two people out of the audiance, and the fire show. That's it. And the hula and fire were about 10min total, the rest was a really drawn out fasion show.

You know, it was like something ws really off that night 'cos we had to wait to get in to the dinner, it was delayed for about 20 min, the food was bad, the show was dull. Maybe they just had a really bad Luau day. :veryconfu Who know.

Good to hear it sound like they may be back to normal.

I was there at about the same time with g/f at the time. Actually, that was the night we broke up  I never thought I would actually have to spend $$$ to break up with anyone.

I don't want to ruin it for you, but because I've seen the Poly Luau over and over again since 1989, I can pretty much do that entire show from memory. It's the same thing over and over again. So, if you go again say a year down the road, it'll be the same thing you saw the last time you went.

As far as the food issue goes, I've never had a problem with getting a 2nd helping. I used to be a server in the restaurant industry and worked at different country clubs that would hold special functions (ie: buffets) and if we had reservations for 200 people, the chefs would always make more food to serve at least 350 people. That was just a Cover Your Butt for the country clubs... I'm sure Disney's doing the same thing now.
