LSU Fans...

Okay, we went over to the World for the day on Tuesday, and there were LSU fans (wearing LSU gear) literally EVERYWHERE. We went to AK and MK, and it seemed like probably 10-15% of the entire visiting population was made of LSU fans....we were going to ask one of them what the story was but never really got around to it. Does anyone know?? It was like Disney had offered free admission if you wore an LSU shirt that day or something (which obviously I know is not true), but I still can't stop wondering what the deal was--can anyone help me out here??

Maybe the reason it drove me so crazy is that I am a Gator.... :ROFLOL:

Yup. Many locals here use the Mardi Gras holiday for vacation time because many schools get the whole week off, while elsewhere schools are still in.

Our daughter starts Pre-k next year, so Mardi Gras will become our normal Disney Vacation Time (Except for when it falls the same week as Presidents Day, like next year. boo!)

Just got back from WDW, was there from last Thursday to Tuesday. Tons of LSU, Saints, Hornets, Tulane gear. Even a kid wearing a New Orleans Zephyrs hat. It's a time honored tradition for locals to get out of dodge for Mardi Gras, since it's usually a slow vacation time anywhere else.

I am from baton rouge, la so I know this all to well! Yes most school are closed and most families take their vacations at this time! It not that crowded most places around this time and the weather is pretty nice for the most party! My father and step mom have been down there all week and are wearing there Lsu gear! That's the only colors of clothes we wear down here it pride and tradition!

Wait, I'm not sure I understand. Because you're a gator it bothered you what other people were wearing or you're just curious?

I was just curious...thank you all for the feedback! Mardi Gras was the only thing we were thinking, but we didn't know if something else LSU-related was going on....it definitely seemed like NO residents had made a mass exodus!

And the thing about me being a Gator was just a joke...although we are "rival" schools, I completely support anyone's team spirit. I wear my Gator gear all the time and love to see others supporting their schools/teams.

Hahahahahahahahaha !!!!! Corndogs all around ! Being from south Mississippi ( Go Southern Miss btw) , this is totaly hilarious . And to answer the OP's question , yes , a gator fan will dislike someone for wearing purple and gold , or any other SEC teams colors.
