Loving the look of the new Poly Villas

Just saw the photos on the homepage of the Poly villa's construction over the lagoon. Got to say they look fantastic! Dread to think how much they will cost to stay in though!

If you love the look and can't afford to stay in them, just get a first floor club level room on the lagoon side and you should have the perfect view.

Really? I thought they looked like portable manufactured homes on stilts. I would have liked to see them look more rustic and hand crafted.

I have to agree with you. I think the roof's look cool, but when we were there last week we all commented that they looked pretty plain. Certainly not what they could have been.

I think they look quite like the rest of the resorts outside - so I think they fit in nicely. It would be nice if they looked hand crafted, but I guess disney probably wanted to keep the resort looking consistent.

When I saw them in person a couple of weeks back they looked plainer than the pictures make them out. I was actually not that impressed as they are now. It's possible that with final dressing they'll look better so won't fully make up my mind until then.

One concern is how much the grass area has grown in from Sunset Point. The west dude ones no longer look like they are in the water since there is little to no open water from the docks to the point.

I was just looking at the latest pics and think they look OK, but I'm reserving judgement until they are in a final state.

One thing I noticed but can't figure out - what are the stairs leading down to the water for? A swim platform? Feeding ducks? Private boats? Walking the plank?
