We encountered them (LOTS of them) last year when we arrived (9/8), and by the end of the week, they were mostly gone...

Love (Bug) Is In The Air

For those who are interested, I may be willing to collect Love Bugs in a jar and sell them this love bug season. I think they will be packaged in jars, each containing 12 bugs. Of course, there's no gaurantee that they will arrive in "alive" condition. All bugs will be transferred "as is."

It's the least I can do for WDWmagic members outside of the Florida area.

I was there for a conference last week and I was able to sneak away to the Poly for an afternoon and I am pretty sure that they were they........they were flying around me as I was enjoying a chaise on the beach........ definitely......

I'm working on an illegal genetic experiment to eat love bug eggs, love bugs, and mosquitoes. Only thing is I have to make sure that they taste good so the native birds eat them. :)

Okay, that's a joke, but it would be a great science project at UoF. lol:lol:

We ran into them one time at band camp.... Actually, we hit them on the way down to WDW outside of Gainsville by a marshy area. We hit the first exit and headed to a car wash and tried to take care of it asap. I was more worried about overheating with as many that were on the grill.
