I didn't see many at MK today- no more than a dozen.
The love bugs have been in full force here in Houston for about two weeks now....highly annoying.
Yet your house shaking and the possibility of the whole state breaking away and sinking into the ocean is acceptable?Just another thing to add to my growing list of why I couldn't live in Florida or any other Southern state.
Disgusting.

But it's that really big one that's waiting to happen that scares the bejeebus out of me.Yep. Pretty much all the earthquakes here are so tiny you can't even feel them. They only last a few seconds, not to mention. My long list outweighs tiny and short earthquakes, by a mile.

Califoinia...^^^ It's not just the insects. It's the weather, alligators, sharks, poisonous snakes, lack of terrain, panthers, hurricanes, no mountains, etc.
Huh? I guess you are falling for the myth that love bugs were created as an experiment at the U of F.Saw my first one Wednesday. Really picked up this weekend. I realize love bugs are a first world problem--but they're a highly annoying first world problem.
Califoinia...
drought, coyotes, sharks, poisonous snakes, mountains, earthquakes, wildfires, mudslides, and Joan Rivers
lol Florida isn't some kind of terrible jungle that when you walk out of your house insects descend upon you sharks feast when you enter the water right after gators bite you! I have lived here all my life and find it quite a nice place to be! Do we have all those things? Yes but only in the places where you would expect to find them. Don't wanna see snakes or gators? Don't live near the woods or out in a secluded area. Even then my friend lives in the woods she has yet to seen a snake. Its like moving to California and being afraid of rattle snakes everywhere you go! It aint gonna happen, unless of course you are in their territory! Sharks are numerous but attacks don't happen that frequently at all, there was only 1 fatal shark in the US attack last year and it was in California. Panthers again you don't see here at all unless you try to go to the secluded areas where they would reside. While we might not have terrain differences some cities have huge differences in the landscaping and what they offer that it offers people some pretty good variety. You mean California.
Coyotes are rare seen, if you don't live in the mountains, I've yet to hear of a drought, sharks are way more numerous in Florida, poisonous snakes are a non factor, depending on where you live (could be the same for Florida, I don't know... I'd love for someone to educate me on the snakes there and how often they're seen), mountains are beautiful, I already touched on earthquakes, wildfires usually only occur during the summer and you never, if not rarely hear of loads of people dying from them, almost no one dies from mudslides and the only people who experience them are those who live in the mountains (it rarely rains, unless you live up north) and Joan Rivers is hysterical, though her face is atrocious.
California is so varied and diverse in weather, topography, terrain, you can have a list of things you need in terms of location, weather, other things and pick somewhere to live. The size of the state also contributes to that luxury.
It just doesn't seem like that option exists in Florida. Someone mind educating me?
