Been in the magic kingdom the past few days an the "love bugs" are EVERYWHERE especially around trash cans. They seem to be more attracted to white shirts as well and enjoy landing on you haha.

Just warning everyone. They are plentiful at the moment

Ewww...

I have been lucky enough not to encounter these little creatures.

I believe they are only seasonal.

Correct. Only around a few blessed weeks of the year. When they are...loving each other. Thus the name.

September, definitely. I recall a few years ago when the Food and Wine fest was still opening on the last week of September, that the love bugs were EVERYWHERE and I swore I'd never go back during that week....then they made F&W later on the schedule anyway.

Going to WDW on Monday. Thanks for the info. I will make sure I rainx my windshield and wax the front of my car before I go. We haven't seen any down here in South Florida yet, but I'm sure they are coming!

I've experienced them in both the late May and late September time frames. Although in my experience, the summer swarm has been more severe.

University Of Florida's greatest gift until Tebow.

...but they also gave us Gatorade, which I appreciate. Even though it was created as a way for them to cheat!

I saw a few random pairs of love bugs mid-April when I was there. My friend thought it was one large bug until I pointed out what they were actually doing...after that she called them a different term ummm... F-bugs :lookaroun

The funny part is we only saw about 4 or 5 pairs of them and they always flew near or landed on my one particular friend. We told her she's a natural aphrodisiac
