You did not do anything wrong. Guest Services is where guests with concerns go. It is not your job to make sure proper communication is followed, it is the theme park's. Great if you commented on the CMs there being on top of it, but if not, it will be found if they care enough. You deserved the fastpasses for an unnacceptable show experience, even if it happens, it needs to be made right. There is nothing wrong with thoughtful compensation that both parties were happy about.
