Lost Rapunzel Opertunity?

With the New Fairy Tale Hall princess meet n greet just opening, the Rapunzel line has been huge! Not just from people staying how busy the line has been, but also checking various wait times for it, the crowd for her is bigger than Cinderella! Do you think wdw missed out on a huge opertunity to make a ride based off of Tangled?

If it were up to me, they should hav replaced SWSA with a Tangled ride, and made Enchanted Tales with Belle not a show, but an actual princess meet n greet in there instead. All the princesses gathering for a royal meeting, making it more like the Epcot character spot with several princesses to stop at all in one swoop!

I just like the idea mainly because it's another ride added to the area...what do you think?

My favorite part of Tangled was the chase scene with the water. Instead of building a mine coaster after Snow White, why not make a coaster ride like that for Tangled. It is more current and I think more people would have identified with it. You could have the que start by walking through the tavern and the music playing etc.

I have to wonder if there is enough land between the HM and IaSW behind the Tangled bathrooms to make an attraction?
You can look on Google Maps and see both show buildings...I'm sure it's possible, but I think Pooh should have been replaced with a Tangled Ride if anything....or the speedway!

I, like so many others, was deeply disappointed that SWSA became a M&G. Rapunzel is wildly popular right now, but Disney is historically very slow to add attractions on recent movies. Look how long it took them to add The a Little a Mermaid ride!

I've been at the parks all week and rapunzel is by far the most popular princess. You see girls with those long braids on their heads. I think disney missed a big opportunity with tangled. I noticed on a couple of occasions people getting excited cuz they saw her tower behind haunted mansion and they say something like "oh, it's just a bathroom"...big mistake on disneys part.

Also remember you can meet Cinderella at many Princess meals, Rapunzel can only be met here. Rapunzel is very popular but with Cinderella available else where why wait in line for her here.

Not in between the buildings. They could have made a very long queue (like the one for Indiana Jones in DL) and have a show building behind IASW or HM. Not really ideal, but I guess theoretically possible.

Speaking of the Enchanted Tales with Belle..HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAIT TIME FOR THAT?! It's huge! It surpasses PPF in wait time!
Like yesterday when we were still in the parks..I looked on the MDE app, and it said ETwB was a 70 minute wait! Peter Pan was on like..what..25? I was sitting there like.. "What is this sorcery?"

But more on the topic;
I agree, they should have built a Tangled-themed ride. That would've been really cool!
And I agree still, the wait time to meet Rapunzel are ridiculous! I mean, sure, you get to meet Snow White, too, but come on people!
We fastpassed them easily. But for Cinderella (and Aurora), we just walked right in. It was like a 50 minute difference between the two!

When we were there in May we got to the MK at rope drop and went straight to the princesses. No wait whatever for any of them.DW had a great chat with Cindy,Aurora and Rapunzel :D.The only princess that had huge queue's when we were there was Merida

The capacity for ETWB has got to be terrible. Experiences like that can only accommodate a relatively small number of guests per hour. So, while I am sure it is quite popular in its own right, I think the long wait times are due to the nature of the attraction.

A Tangled themed ride would've been cool.

My suggestion has been for TDO to move IASW to Epcot in the WS. It would be a perfect thematic fit there and would help with the lack of rides in that area of the park. I think a good spot might be around the the World Showplace events space or just use some of the space between pavilions. If they put on the fancy facade used at DL, they could do a nice projection show with it as well.

Then they can use the IASW space (no reason to gut the ride, just move the AAs) and refurb it into a Tangled themed boat ride instead. It's right next to the Tangled bathrooms, so you have theming consistent there and Tangled is a better fit for a uniform "medieval Europe" Fantasyland theme than IASW.

A M&G does not cost nearly as much to build as an attraction and I would think maintanence would be a heck of a lot cheaper. Win, win for WDW.

I think a tangled boat dark ride would be awesome, the scene where the lanterns would come in would have to be the main focal point of the attraction. However the space in snow white's scary adventure wouldn't allow it. So maybe they could have done a scary themed ride centering mother gothel as she stalks you around each corner growing older and older. She kinda stalked rapunzel much like the witch stalked snow white

I think all they would have to do I keep the same ride track and layout, modify the front of the cars to remove the dwarf names, and change all the scenery and AAs to Tangled theme. I don't think that would hav been that expensive to do...
