I lost a Canon Powershot 590 at Disney Hollywood Studios on June 21, 2010. It was the last day of my son's first trip to WDW and I would love to have those pictures back. Please contact me if you found the camera. Thank you!!!

While we do have a number of members here that could have been in the park that day, this is definitely not the best place to ask. You are going to want to contact Lost and Found directly and see if it was turned in. Their number is (407) 824-4245 and they are open from 9am-7pm eastern time. Best of luck in finding the camera.

Since Disney doesn't require all of their Guests to check this site on a daily basis for lost item messages, you would be better served calling (407) 824-2222 (the outside number for the WDW Operator) and asking for Central Lost & Found at the Transportation & Ticket Center (since your camera will likely have left Lost & Found at DHS by now). If you had an address label on it, it may have already been sent home to you as Disney tends to be very efficient about that!

I lost my camera at the MK during my stay and it was at central lost and found the next morning. Very magical moment for me. I bet if you call they will have it.

And that's a mistake..they should require each guest to read this site as part of the finger scanning process.

A general tip for digital camera users going on vacation... Before leaving home, write in large letters "In case this camera is lost, please contact..." and then your name, phone number (preferably cell) and what hotel you're staying at on your trip. Then take a photo of that page with your camera so that it's pic #1 on the memory card. (Repeat with any additional memory cards you may use on the trip).

Then if the camera is lost and then found, and someone checks the pictures on it, the first photo that comes up will be of all that info.

I found out about a site a few weeks ago that makes it easier to get lost items returned. The site is called Tiger Tag and you can register on their site and order tags to put on your items. They send you 14 tags and all you pay for is the shipping. The person who finds your item can go to their site and enter the unique code and you will get an email letting you know that someone has found it. You can find out more about them from their site tigertag.com.

I plan on getting some before I go back to Disney in August and putting the tags on some of my items just in case.

When we were at Hollywood Studios last December my daughter lost her shoe right before the parade. I back tracked and so did my husband and no luck. After the parade we rushed to lost and found, no sign of the shoe. Then I figure I misewell go try and buy her a pair of shoes. We went to a store and asked if they had really tiny shoes and the lady said yes. I said yeah, my daughter lost one. The lady said, well there was a shoe turned in at the stand down there. We rushed to the stand and sure enough someone turned in my daughter's $40 Stride Rite shoe. Yes, I know it was only a shoe, but hey, maybe someone was nice enough to turn in your camera!
