You know, my husband loves different kinds of cheeses, loves the strong ones and then funky breads. Idk what my issue is, but I can barely venture out of cheddar...lmao!!

I had no idea there was various cheese out there, I will be on the look out next time. Josh would think that was awesome!

I am referring to the cheese plate appetizers offered at many WDW TS places. Rose and Crown, Chefs of France, and Cali Grill were all good.

Monty, you spent just under $2K for a small bottle of booze? I sure hope you do not decide to tie one on and hammer that baby down! I shutter when I spend $100 on a bottle. I certainly hope you really enjoy that smoooooth cognac.

The bottle itself is crystal. Empty they go for a couple of hundred.

The only food I can think of that is not a "disney only" type food that I have had for the first time at WDW is school bread.

Ah, copper river salmon as well. Well I have had it at home, but first time having somone cook it for me was at WDW.

WDW is the only place I've ever had funnel cake. I had it on one trip, and now I make it a regular thing for future trips.

I've had it twice from the kiosk near the American section of World Showcase, and once from somewhere along Boardwalk.

Funnel cake rules!!!

Back to the topic at hand. Here are a couple of my firsts:

Churro - Picked one up many years ago while walking around the Studios and while it is quite tasty it is not one of those thing that I really crave and have manybe had 2 more over the last 10 years.
Smoked turkey leg - Sat on the wall in Frontierland gnawing away at it and was not that impressed
Sushi - Tried it @ Cali Grill and loved it. Unfortunately had some of the best first and maybe set my standards too high.
Brussle Sprouts with bacon butter - Had these little gems @ the Yachtsman Steakhouse and now have to make them at home about once a month. I liked brussle sprouts already, but this takes them to a level that will covert many avid brussle sprout haters. They are that gooood!!!
Pineapple soft serve (Dole Whip) - Never have I had Pinapple ice cream and though that pinapple should never be an ice cream flavor, but that first taste of Pinapple Dole Whip swirled with that smooth and creamy vanilla was really as treat.
Bangers & Mash - Not many Irish places around me so I never really had the honor of trying this flavorful dish. Had B & M on my birthday in 2005 sitting along the railing while watching Illumination. I am not sure it was the food, beer or my favorite show in the world but is certainly was magical.
Corned Beef Hash W/Jalapenos - Tried this quite a few years ago and let me tell you I am sold. They have this Spicy corned beef hash @ Donald's Breakfast Safari and I make sure I stop in at least once per trip to chow down. The once of twice a year I make corned beef hash for myself at home I now add a bunch of finely diced pickled jalapenos to it. Yum!
Spaten Optimator - I was pleasently surprised when I tried this for the first time on a trip to WDW. Unfortunately this is not being served in Epcot Germany anymore.
La Rossa - Never had this Italian beer before Via Napoli opened. I ordered a pitch to go with our meal and was pleasently surprised by this delightful full flavored beer.

Agree with your La Rossa comment. Had it for the first time last week and was pleasantly supprised. Fared well with the Sausage Pizza.
