I just got off the phone with Disney, it was the events number you called for the Soiree last year. She said they've had a couple meetings and looks like no Soiree for 2015.
Take that like a grain of salt! Lol. CM's do not usually know info like that for certain. She could be right, but they may still have it or something like it and release it closer to Sep. I never listen to CM's because I have gotten wrong info before from them. LolI just got off the phone with Disney, it was the events number you called for the Soiree last year. That is not the ones I got wrong info from! Have gotten wrong info from CM managers before. That's pretty bad so like I mentioned until they officially say they won't have it and such then I will believe it. She could be right but she could also be wrong.I trust Event CM "meetings" more than a Splash Mountain CM "I heard". Of course yes the brass could change their mind or even reshape the event between here and there if anything.
We did and thoroughly enjoyed it!! Great experience even if it was only once.maybe I'm crazy (ok I know I am) but... why would someone pay for the time limited MNSSHP AND then spend most of that time (and also pay extra for) the Soiree?

My hunch is that it was nowhere near a money maker for Disney because quite a few guests scoffed at paying extra for it.
I think it will all come down to when they take the stage down for constructionMost spots sold old pretty quickly, even though Disney restricted reservations to phone calls only.
Until the first party happens and there's no soiree (or equivalent) I have no reason to believe it was not financially successful.
The Frozen and Star Wars upcharge events came back this year at higher prices. I expect the same thing to happen with Sinister Soiree.

Lady Tremaine's two friends at this event last year were both members of Actor's Equity, and as of this moment, no equity auditions for Lady Tremaine have occurred, nor do I see any scheduled. Take that as you will.
Well I spent those "extra Disney Dollars" and it was good for a one time experience. What did we get in exchange for spending $99 dollars a head more than the hard ticket entry price ?
They all sold out fast and we fortunately got into one... even if it was the 11:45 seating... we were tired. We slept in and didn't hit the parks until lunch time the next day. Bloody Marys at the Dawa bar before Yak and Yeti.
- A place in a cordoned off area to watch the first two stage shows 7:45 and 8:45, Boo to You parade at 8:15, Celebrate the Magic at 9:15, and Hallowishes at 9:30 at the front end of the Hub. Wonderful place, and my wife had a bench to sit on for that long duration and it wasn't stuffed full of people shoulder to shoulder.
- A themed dessert sitting with live entertainment provided by Lady Tremaine, her daughters. Less than a hundred people per sitting. We had a private table for two in the center of the room.
- Meet and greets with Lady Tremaine, The Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Frollo, Maleficent, Cruella, Facillier and the Evil Queen. Wonderful character actors all.
- Hatbox Ghost special magic picture tossed in.
- Autograph card from all the villians
- Maleficent dragon cup
- yet another bag of assorted candy
We like to do different things at Disney as we visit once or twice a year during the cooler months, if you had heartburn at $99, I guess you'd never consider paying even more for something like Party of the Senses which was an additional $145-270 a person over the admission price to Epcot.
True but did they hold any last year? A lot of times roles like this are filled internally with people already in entertainment so a general casting notice probably won't go out. They never held auditions for Hades and Meg for the Villians events but we all know they were Equity. Auditions can be a helpful tip off sometimes, but WDW tends to do a lot of things internally with the cast members they already have.Lady Tremaine's two friends at this event last year were both members of Actor's Equity, and as of this moment, no equity auditions for Lady Tremaine have occurred, nor do I see any scheduled.
