Good luck!

I'm a big dork so I hope my Beast does it next Sept. while we're on the Jungle Cruise.

It would be very memorable. Although I can't think of a way to make it really romantic. I would love to watch that happen when I was on the ride! I could just imagine you go from marriage to the headhunter trade joke!!

My Favorite place in the MK is the fairytale garden next to the castle. Unfortunately I dont have a pic of it on the puter! Its so very pretty there, especially at night!

Thanks! I know it's not super romantic but this is one of my favorite rides from my childhood and it would fit our personalities better than something traditionally romantic.

That would be awesome! I'm sure the skipper would help make it extra memorable

I think it would be hilarious and awesome all at the same time. I can only imagine the jokes that would follow.

Do you mean the Plaza Rose Garden? As stated earlier in this forum, my cousin proposed there during Wishes last August (2006). The wedding is in 2 weeks. It is a beautiful place.

Even if it doesn't go perfect, it will be. My DH and I just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary and I have not yet been "officially" proposed to. Since I ruined the plan he had, he had to improvise and ended up handing me my engagement ring while we were driving 65 MPH on the Kennedy Expressway heading back into the city passing the Harlem Avenue exit ramp. (You Chicagoans know exactly where I'm talking about.) He asked me what I had done earlier in the day. After hearing me prattle on about my day, I asked, "what did you do today?" Whereby he said "I went downtown and picked something up" and then handed me the ring box. Not as romantic as it could have been but I'm not complaining.

Point of the above, whereever and however you do it, it will be perfect. Ours was not romantic but it sure is one heck of a story.

Take the walkway on the right, coming from "the hub," right before you enter the Castle. It'll be after the smoking area *cough, cough* on your right.

I'll take an asthmatic right past the smoking area. Great, I'll be sure to take her breath away one way or another!!

Nansa- Thought I was the only one that happened to. Same thing, riding down the Garden State Parkway in NJ - I was complaining about someone questioning a ring on my finger that I had received from my job for so many years of service as "an engagement ring finally!" Told DH that I was taking the ring off and not wearing it the next day to a family party - so he handed me the box. That was 5 years ago! He still isn't romantic!

Hey KC, maybe we should start a thread about who else got engaged on the highway, freeway, tollway, turnpike etc.

Well now I have another question. She says it would be easier on her schedule to go during spring break, the last week in Feb. How is the weather and crowds then? Is the weather good enough usually to do the outside proposal at the wishing well or is it usually cold or rainy? I have no clue as I've never gone outside of June or July. Crowds don't usually bother me as I go in the summer and am used to it, but I dont want to be surounded by typical spring breakers. Any info or experiences?

Ok guys. I have a question but I feel really dumb asking. Where Exactly is the wishing well? I read that it was between the castle and tomorrowland but I don't remember ever seeing it. Is it in that garden-ish area before the bridge like trail? Thanks for the help.

Also, to ask when opening the park would be an incredible moment, it's a great idea slappy magoo!!! I think it deserves a call beforehand to beg and plea at the very least!

If I'm remembering this right, and trust me, I wouldn't throw it out that I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure where it is. When you're leaving the castle going towards fantasy land, take an immediate left before going through the tunnel? It is kinda to the side by alot of trees. I think it's also sort have next to a smoking section. Like I said, could be dead wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's where it is. I know I've been to it before. I'm pretty sure that's where it is cause it's by tomorrow land, I remember that much.

I looked at some satellite maps and found it, I can't believe I was walking right past it all these years!! I also booked some airfare and an ADR for dinner at CRT so it's all starting to come together. Can't wait for Feb. to get here.
