Want to try the new Via Napoli, we went to Tutto last year. I know they are different especially in price and atmosphere BUT was it good?!!!!!

I think that it is a pretty good restaurant especially when you factor in how hard it is to get decent pizza in WDW. A lot of people comment on how expesive the pizza is, but when you consider that you will be sharing it isn't that terrible. In my two visits there 3 of us have gotten an appetizer, large pizza to share, dessert (all to share), and sodas for 20 each. I find that to be pretty reasonable when you are talking about Disney dining.

average at best.. imo

Agreed. I ordered the white pizza and it was honestly one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Really burnt on the bottom and odd-tasting. :lookaroun

The restaurant itself is very nice, and my sister ordered a pasta dish which was pretty good (although really expensive for what it was)...but I don't think we will be going back anytime soon...

I just ate there in Jan and I had the best pizza I've ever had in Disney World, as for the atmosphere, we sat in the outside-like section (forgive me I forget the actual name for it) and it was cold and I felt like I wasn't even in the restaurant. I would have definitely preferred to sit further inside. We had a really nice waitress, but was kind of slow.

So overall, I would recommend it but asked to be sit not in the whats made to be the outside section.

The issue with analyzing pizza is that everyone has their own version of “good” pizza. What I think is amazing here in NJ is completely different than a person who lives in Idaho. I personally like the old saying, pizza is like ______, when it’s good it’s good and when it’s bad it’s still all right.

Soooo, that being said Via Napoli was not meant to be your traditional Domino’s, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, etc., etc., and if those are your favorite pizzas than you will probably not like Via Napoli. Via Napoli is meant to resemble pizza from Naples. Which does not resemble anything like USA pizza chains? And yes, I have had pizza in Naples.

The most common complaints I see about Via Napoli is that the pizza was “burnt” and that there was not enough cheese/toppings. Which is mostly true, however, that is the way it is supposed to be made. Wood fired ovens will do that to a pizza. The pizza toppings are spread out to enjoy the flavors and textures as opposed to piled on like some meat lovers disaster from a pizza chain.

Now to annoy everyone not from the Northeast, from reading a lot of comments on Via Napoli my non-scientific analysis is that those from the NE tend to enjoy Via Napoli pizza more than those not from that region. That isn’t to say that others don’t like it but that is how I read into it.

In my opinion, Via Napoli pizza is good above average pizza for anywhere (for that style) and amazing for Disney pizza.

I have had the pizza and mozzerella and tomatoes at Via Napoli.

The appitizer was nothing to write home about. Hothouse tomatoes and chesse that was a notch above shrink wrapped cheese in the dairy asile. Not bad, but not superb either. However, to give them some credit, it was January. Good tomatoes are had to find in January.

I enjoyed the pizza quite a bit. It was like the ones I get here from wood (or dare I say it, coal) fired ovens. As lax3385 said, that is the type of pizza it is supposed to be. If you are a fan of Domino's or *shudder* Pizza Hut, then this is going to be a different experience.

Just ate there for the 2nd time Sat. and the pizza wasn't as good as the last time we had it in Oct. Still good though. The fritto misto was very good and the Morretti was nice and cold. Good place to eat and the staff is aces in my book.

I thought the pizza was excellent. Certainly different than the American chains all over the country. We are going back again this year and will make it a staple every year we go. The sauce is outstanding and like the crust clightly burnt. That is the wood grill flavor. As for the expensive part, you are in Disney and everything is expensive there. So that arguement holds no water.
