Looking for advice

Hey everyone: I am looking for some advice on an up coming trip i have just booked. My DW and I are going to do 3 night at POFQ with a 2 day park hopper. We are also going to do the middle dinning plan. So, i haven't even started on ADR's yet. Does anyone know of any trick to maybe getting something this late? Same for Fast passes. If you want to throw out an Idea for an ADR that you especially love, I'd like to here it. We have our fave's but am always looking for a spot we haven't tried before. Also this is spring break. I realize the crowds will be bigger most likely, but I'm not sure i really understand. What time do i need to be standing in line to get into Studio's to try and get on RotR.

Side note, I took my son to start his DCP the other day. While there we talk to several cast members about several different thing, just mainly small talk, but much of it was about star wars land and Hollywood studios. I know i may have missed something on here, but the CM never said Hollywood they only called it "Studio" Is this a new mandate at WDW or is this the permanent new name for what I always loved as MGM?

Again any and all info you want to give me is great and I'd love to here your thoughts.

There is no trick to ADR's and FP.
You only have 2 people.
Just look for what you want.

3 nights you only have 3 TS so really I'd just go with your favorites.
But if you really want suggestions...
I like Le Cellier Steakhouse, The Wave, Sci-Fi.

For ADR’s, if you don’t find availability at the restaurant you want, just keep trying a few times a day. It doesn’t take long to check if something opens up. We got reservations at Be Our Guest for lunch and we started looking one week out. Took a couple of days of looking but something finally opened up.

If you’re going to be spending time at POFQ during a day that you’re not at the park and need a TS meal, you could always make the lovely 10 minute walk from POFQ to POR and eat at Boatwright’s Dining Hall. Reservations can be very easy to come by as most people don’t go out of their way to dine there unless they’re staying at one of the PO resorts. And it was an awesome comfort food meal!

Your Fastpasses will have to be done day of. I recommend a subscription to Touring Plans, make a list of must do then play with your plans to get them all in. 2 days is not a lot of time to do Disney - do you plan to do all 4 parks? Maybe dine at a resort for midday meal?

Yes, Fastpasses can be done any time after 60 (or 30) days. But unless you want a less popular ride why bother? The standby line for those rides won't be much anyway. The good stuff is long gone.

another easy tip for ADR's is adjust your eating time if you can. I've always been able to get a great choice by simply making my dinner say an hour later than prime grazing hours. it seems like everyone wants to eat between 5-7 pm. so much opens up say 7:15. We rarely make adr's before 30 days out.

Also since it's only two of you without any little ones, be adventurous and try some resort restaurants. Olivia's at OKW is one of my favorites, I've done walk up. lol. There is one in Saratoga springs, I forgot the name that is great also.
