Ok, so we last went to Disney World Florida in July 2007 and we have decided on return dates! Though its a little while off, we are going back in May 2011! Woo hoo!

So just wondering if any of you guys have planned a definite trip but have a while to wait? If so, how do you guys keep excited without making youselves crazy with Disney anticipation?! I don't know how on going to cope withholding excitement for 19 more months lol.

Can't wait to hear from you guys!

I book our trip (that is in 4 days :sohappy:) in Sept 2008. I've been driving my whole family crazy with planning it. My husband even said that I made him sick at one point. :p To keep from going nuts I would read everything I could on Disney either here or other sites. I went over menus so many times I probably had them memorized.

I'll be in the same boat as you with having to wait several years after this trip. My husband likes Disney but won't go every year. He said every 4 to 5 is good enough.

We go once a year and to make the wait easier, we do other things throughout the year. The beach in July, Memphis in August and soon after the holidays and so its down hill from there. We book a year out and from that moment the planning begins!. We are thinking about trying to go for a much shorter trip next year in the fall to the Halloween party, something we've never been able to do. And then back in January 2011. In the meantime, I read whatever I can get my hands on about the parks and things going on it them to help get thru. Happy Planning!

The longest I've had to wait for a 'definite' trip is about 10 months but I'm almost certain I'll be back in WDW for 2011 which feels like a very long way-a-way.

Unless something amazing happens we will not be going in 2010. We just got back a month ago. We have every intention of going in September 2011 though. So I can feel your pain. It's a long ways away so I try to live through other people's vacations and visit here at least once a day. It helps.

I'm in the same boat as you. Our last trip was in December and we are not planning to be back until Sept of 2012 to meet some friends for their anniversary.

We did manage to sneak in a quick trip to Disney Land last month but now it will really be a long stretch till our next visit to the world.

In the meantime I will be reading these boards and keeping on top of all the news. (edited for grammar)

The last trip we took, we started planning almost a year to the day in advance. First thing we did was look into the resort; whats available there? do we want a fridge? how do the pools look? Then it was planning our days.... "Sunday, which park and where do we eat?" Then making sure of fireworks schedules, other "must-dos" of the week.... Then when it came down to make reservations, we went back and forth about 100 times as far as where we wanted to go. This last trip we had to wait 90 days to make resises, so to me, we went down to the wire with choosing resturants. Then reading any little info we can find about the parks, resturants, extras we wanted to do.... then we'd go off the Disney topic for a couple of week or so, then I'd work on packing lists, what I definitly need from here (we had a 2 year old still in diapers, so I wanted to make sure we wrote down everything). Just plan, plan, plan.... Its so much fun to imagine what you'll be doing in the months to come.

So excited for you!!!!

I've never waited more than a couple months for a WDW trip, but now that I've moved across the country it's gonna be a while. We plan to make a trip to Florida sometime in 2012..so I've got 3 years of waiting to do.

Since I fly down now and don't have a car for use down there, I know I am staying on site and know that I can make a reservation for my room 499 days in advance so I think you are nearing that point. Figure it out and that for me is the starting point. I mean, you have your reservation - you are going! Yippee! I don't care if I have my tickets or spending money or anything else figured out. When I have my room reserved, I am going. Of course, I do turn my reservation into a package later, but knowing I have my room reserved lets me know that I am on my way. :sohappy:

My last trip to WDW was last year & I plan on going back in Sept. 2010. I try to keep excited by coming to this site everyday & reading all the blogs & news that every1 posts. My trip is 11 months away but with each passing day, it's just 1 more day closer to Disney World!!!

Our next trip won't be until 2012 for our daughter's 16th b-day. She would rather do that then have a big party, hey that works for me! If we win the lottery though we will be there sooner.:D
