This is my issue. There is more than enough space on property to add things without constantly taking something away, especially a large iconic part of that park. Did the Riverboat and TSI attract tons of guests? Probably not, but they were still important to the park and had their place. A Cars ride that caters to only certain people is a step backward. Riverboat/TSI could be enjoyed by almost everyone, and the number of attractions that that applies to will continue to shrink over time it seems.
After the initial novelty I don't know that WDW's Indy will attract much more than Dinosaur does now. It's realistically still the same ride, and those who don't like it for that reason (rough, etc) still won't.
There really will be no comparison between Dinosaur's and Indiana Jones in Disneyland especially if they produce the same show in WDW. Since the track is the same as Indy's in DL than it is much better and with a different theme instead of Dino's. My only gripe with Dinosaur is that a dark ride needs more scenes and less just jostling around in a vehicle in total darkness and a more believable plot. I don't remember very many empty spots in Indy and a whole bunch in Dino and a far less believable ending. There is just so much suspension of disbelief before I start yelling foul. Dinosaur was an interesting show, but hardly the most popular one. Get in the line for Indiana Jones and you will see what I mean. Riding around in a jeep on a land based adventure is far more believable than the idea of going back in time in one and hauling back a huge Dino. Where was it on the trip back. The Dino must have been sitting on the laps of the people in the rear seats.
