Im going in September, and it seems like its Cabana Bay like pricing w/ the incentive. 4 Nights @ $150/nt- which is $600- but I get a $150 food and beverage credit as well- which I'd easily spend. So $450 for 4 nights is $112.50/nt. Yes, please.

I don't know if they'll have everything done by then by the looks of the overhead shots though- so likely some light construction still. Id have a tough time seeing this place ready in July as expected (at least as it relates to the pool and landscaping).

I don't Disney has really been saving money, just moving slow.

It doesn't necessarily save them money, but it looks better if you spread those costs out. It's definitely a factor in their glacial construction pace.

True also as swan and dolphin at wdw I believe. We try to avoid bringing a car. That said car+parking for our last trip to universal was cheaper than taxis two ways.

The room rates as so much better I don't mind a small ancillary fee for parking....500 a night for castle view....pound sand.

1000 rooms plus resort amenities, plus convention space takes up some room.

Coronado Springs is 1915 rooms. But it is much more spread out. Sapphire Falls is kinda spread out and yet the buildings are also tall.

If I would book Sapphire Falls for the last week in July but construction isn't finished by that date does anyone know what the policy would be from the Universal side? I would think we would get the option to stay at Cabana Bay and given the difference in a credit or maybe a tiny discount to stay at a higher priced on-site hotel? Going to book this afternoon and will call Universal first but just thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Book your ressie for both. It will take 1 night deposit for each ressie but you can cancel if you are more than 5 days out for a full refund of the deposit so at the 6 day point you decide which to keep. July might be cutting it close.
