Does anyone know what are in the boxes hanging on the walls bordering the World Showcase Lagoon in France?
There seem to be more there that ever.

I'm sorry, I just have to say this:

Al Gore: "2 Words: LOCK BOX"

I guess I never noticed boxes hanging on a wall at France

I would say stuff that we can't see...

and only because I don't know what's in them or where they are...

I thought they might have the flashlights for castmembers to use during the parades. They're also near one of the stands that sells Tapestry of Dreams souvenirs... a strange place to keep merchandise maybe? Any CMs out there that know?

Are you speaking of the ones by the Crepe and Wine shop? The green ones?? If so there's merchandise in there. they usually open them up during the day and you can shop for stuff from the boxes.

In Paris, France (as opposed to Texas, i suppose) you'll find these boxes along the Seine in the west bank (near Notre Dame). They're called 'Bookenese' and they're basically small outdoor stores that sell books, art, postcards, etc to locals and tourists.

I don't remember them in the France, EPCOT area during my 2000 trip. But I suspect that's what they are.

I wish I had a picture.
Behind the carts that sell little French things and behind the area where the artists draws, against the brick wall are about a dozen ugly green boxes with padlocks on them. They are too ugly and too many of them to be light storage for the shopping kiosks.
Next time I am there, maybe tomorrow to answer this mystery, I will corner a host and ask them.
