This ride is sorely in need of updated content considering the techniques and methods shown and discussed were cutting edge over 25 years ago. I am not an expert in the area of agriculture but I am certain we have had vast improvements/developments in terms of farming/irrigation technology in the last couple decades. Also, I feel it is also not wise to be promoting GMO's in this day and age.
Living with the Land has a functional purpose beyond it being a ride. It provides food (money) and it has a built in tour that's advertised on the attraction itself. It's probably why it's remained as one of the few EPCOT Center style attractions.
