Great find thanks OP.

But I was also wondering if this is possible for anyone to link up to this usstream site ...why we have enough members on this board that we should have live webcams all over WDW 365 days a year!

Who wants to start up that bandwagon and figure this out. Make up a chart and all to list where all the live webcams will be????????:animwink:

Great idea. I'm totally in :)

I concur. If Steve wants to run with this, then obviously he is king in these parts and has the membership to get this going. If not, I will gladly volunteer to get the ball rolling on this. I think my site pretty much lends itself to this topic. Not only that, but I am thinking I would actually pay people to do this while on vacation ... :zipit:

Yes, really. BUT ... the amount you have in your head might not be the same as the amount in mine :)

In other words, I would not compare it to WDWMAGIC giving away free nights at the Swan and Dolphin. But several dollars per day to help offset the internet costs at Disney (that non-DVC members have to pay). As well, it would have to be limited to a set number of people at any given time. That is what is rolling around my head right now.

Sounds cool. Good luck! :)

Hi Guys,

While it's very cool to see, I do forsee some problems with this. Disney removed their fleet of live cams for a reason. It's a very sketchy area, but I dont see them allowing live webcams from their resort rooms using the resort internet connection. The problem is really two-fold. You have the issue of the webcam - privacy, security, mis-representation, amongst others. You then have the issue of the acceptable use policy of the resort internet connection. It is not there to do live video streaming 24 hours per day.

If the odd person does this, they may get away with it. But I beleive that if this becomes an organised activity, it will be outlawed.

I think if it were to happen Disney would have to do it. If they really wanted to they could do it like the Swan and Dolphin camera (no people, scenic shot only, but this one would stay up :brick: ). I am sure there is somewhere on property that would give the feeling of being there, without being a security or legal problem.

Maybe it doesn't even have to be year round either....maybe just once every couple whatevers (weeks, months, etc.) just to see what happens. I wish Disney could look into it, but if they don't I'm sure there's good reason for it...unfortunately. This webcam thing sure has been exciting though! I love to just listen to the audio of it, even when I'm not looking at it. That tends to bring back more memories for me, I love the sounds (all the music, ppl, and birds) at WDW. I miss it!

They did have live streaming in all 4 parks, and all of them were removed.

The news I just heard on the cam site is that someone else is now setting up a camera on the 9th! So, if this rumor is true, there will be more WDW viewing!

Pretty cool! I just watched Wishes, and apart from having to refresh every 45 seconds, I felt like I was there! I'll be checking this out from time to time for sure.

Actually, two 45-second videos clips play on each page load, for a total of 1:30 of video. Maybe you did not give the second clip enough time to buffer. Although, if you are using a high-speed connection, the second clip should start almost immediately after the end of the first. If you are on high-speed and have issues with the cam, send me a PM and I’ll look in to it.
