Trip Report (LIVE!) My 21st birthday Disney Extravaganza!!

Hey everyone! My name is Aly and I just turned 21 on December 23rd! To celebrate, my mother (Tammi) and I will be in Disney from TODAY to January 5th! On the 1st, my best friend Megan will be flying to Disney World to stay with us until the 5th!! I visited Disney with Megan in May but haven't been there with my mother since my 16th birthday trip in 2010. My mother and grandmother surprised me with a Disney trip when I was 6 on Christmas day, so The World is very magical for us when we are together. :rolleyes: We do have ADRs like the Epcot Dessert Party, Todds English bluezoo, san angel inn and Hoop-dee-doo revue, but otherwise, we'll be winging it day by day because that's how we like to do Disney!! :)

It's about 3pm here in PA, and our flight is at 8:40pm! We have a few pit stops to make before we're off to the airport!
-go to the bank and cash in our vacation change jar (Disney tradition!)
-go to harrahs casino to gamble with some free credit!

I hope you all enjoy our trip report!!! We are snackers so we will try to get pics of our Disney grub before we gobble it up :p Will try to update as much as we can to share our magic with you all!

BACKTRACK: Here is my necklace from animal kingdom and yesterday's lunch of a tuna salad sandwich on a delicious toasted sesame seed bun, with housemade (mousemade??) chips and a chicken pot pie with pasta salad. :) it was all good!
At the end of the lunch we decided that:
A: the best part of chicken pot pie crust is sometimes the bottom, and not the top.
B: the pasta salad was only good until about halfway through, then it was a bit nauseating from the overpowering flavor.
C: the chips are amazing to scoop up tuna salad with :)

We were planning to go straight to Hollywood studios for dinner at pizza planet, a comedy show, and to watch fantasmic, followed by a mini trip to downtown Disney but we decided to go back and get changed into new clothes. Not sure what we'll do tonight yet, but we'll see!!!

Yep, don't do Kali anymore. Game changer for touring plans especially in winter months.

BACKTRACK: dessert party on the 27th

These blue cupcakes are the best cupcakes I have ever had and I bumped into a chef who told me how to make them. :) the icing is white buttercream with white chocolate mixed in

Clockwise starting with the red thing: rice krispie drop, blue velvet white chocolate cupcake, chocolate ganache type thing, tiramisu, baklava.

Illuminations was beautiful as always :)

Hey, sorry I never answered!! Hope this is live enough! Still catching onto how to keep up :) I decided to do it to give back to everyone who wrote amazing reports that I got to read when I was dying to be here! (haunted mansion pun perhaps...)

We had lunch at Seasons food court in The Land! We can't believe we have never been here in all of our trips to WDW!! We chose to have Mongolian beef with vegetables and jasmine rice and a rice pudding with strawberry compote and golden raisins... Everything tastes so amazing!! Might have to have the rice pudding again this trip but it's competing with the eggnog crime brulee... (Read: I will probably get both. :rolleyes:) after we ate, we used our fast pass for living with the land which was beautiful! They had Christmas ribbons on the winter melons!

After living with the land, we saw that the finding memo ride was only a 20 minute wait! (Which was actually only about 15) I got the cutest mug ever from the gift shop which I will upload a pic of back at the resort. :)

:) Now we are about to get onto spaceship earth, one of our fave epcot rides!!

Spaceship earth was sooo much fun!! I started crying on the way up because I just can't believe I am here. I wish I could bring you all with me!!!! We are back at Pop now waiting on some chicken nuggets and fries to hold us over until magic kingdom later tonight. We are taking a rest/nap (I don't know if I can sleep, I'm too excited!) so that we can take advantage of MK Extra magic hours tonight until 3AM!
