Wish i could see them. The stuff up here in Georgia, well, they could learn a thing or two about fireworks shows.

Good Lord, ain't that the truth! Did you see that SAD display with the distorted audio that they showed on 11 Alive tonight? OMG, I had to change the channel it was so pitiful.

I thank the poster of the video from MK last night. It outshined all of the stuff that was displayed here in GA. Maggie

The NYC fireworks were phenomenal this year, despite the drenching rain--plenty of pyro I recognized from Disney was featured (the blue fireworks used in Celebration during ROE, the box fireworks, and the smilie faces), along with some cool new effects, like fireworks that were shot down at the East River, exploding on impact with the water, along with fireworks that seemed to be attached to parachutes and would slowly drift down with what looked like flares attached. Awesome show with an out of this world finale. Too bad mother nature couldn't cooperate.

Wow, that was sad. The audio for the program sounded like the tape was dragging, sorta like an old worn out cassette. We were going to go to Stone Mountain to see their fireworks and did not get to go so we watched part of the show on Channel 11, but like you, had to change the channel.

Stone Mountain for certain next year,
Ricky

I watched the show from about 35 miles south of the city. You couldn't hear any of the bursts nor the music. Therefore, I was rather disappointed with the entire show. There were also a few other shows at the same time such as in Liberty Park.

Unfortunately, I couldn't tell when the final started or finished so it just seemed like a bunch of random explosions. I was able to see the "box" shaped fireworks. Also, the parachute type devices are very popular throughout Europe.

In my opinion, FitS an RoE's quality is better than Macy's quantity.

The ones in Athens werent that good, but the show i saw was in Jefferson. Saw a whole lot of shells that looked pretty familiar ... including a happy face shell. Ce La Vie.

Hell next year i go to MK for fireworks, i wanna see that new show. :D

Yeah after they canceled them and told everyone to go home for their safety, they had them anyway at 11:30 PM. I watched them on television.

Well you had a very poor view of the show, too. The fireworks, at least in my opinion, were very impressive and massive, and pretty well in sync with the music (from what little music I could hear from a nearby restaurant, the pyro was, in fact, set to the music). I enjoyed it. If I couldn't be at Disney, Macy's show would definitely be my top pick. In my opinion, the very short IllumiNations finale was NOTHING compared to Macy's, which almost made the FDR Drive crumble from beneath it. The reverberations off the buildings were intense.
