awesome show!

full 360 degrees show with a full show mirror running from an island in the seven seas lagoon.

exits were main street usa, the backstage exit by the noodle station, and a backstage exit by the galaxy theater.

I just watched them from the Grand Floridian. I'm actually getting tired of seeing Fantasy in the Sky every major holiday, i think new years is enough for a 35 year old firework show. Dont get me wrong, i love it, but whenis it tooo much of a good thing. It's like when the electrical parade wouldn't go away.

I remember seeing those fireworks one year, I believe in 05. We didnt get a great great view, but it was good enough, and yes it was packed solid. Like Sardines.

Imaginationeer (and everyone else)---

You obviously couldn't hear the music. The Independence Day show is CALLED "Fantasy in the Sky"... but it is NOT the standard "Fantasy in the Sky".

The ENTIRE show is patriotic music (and completely different from the old FitS patriotic finale). It concludes with the National Anthem.

The show is introduced by a generic male announcer, but not one who's introduced other shows.

The music SOUNDS old...a bit scratchy, not a crisp new orchestration. But the fireworks are choreographed to it (including Fantasyland rooftop launchers). It is not the random fireworks shoot that the old FitS was. The blasts are perfectly timed to the music.

We were there for the 4h of July in 2004 and the fireworks were amazing! We were packed in and it took forever to exit the park. We really enjoyed the show but it was way too crowded for me.

I can actually vouch for the fact that the 4th of July FITS is different from the old standard 4th of July show. It's a little jazzier, and very patriotic. Neither version of FITS holds a candle to Wishes, however.

Any idea why they can't do a 4th of July version of Wishes, like they have for other holidays (Hallowishes and Holiday Wishes)???

I'm pretty sure the rumor is that a new July 4th show is in the works for next year, maybe a Wishes-version. Anyone know for sure on that?
