Trip Report LIVE: April Showers bring Flower and Garden! (I Wanna Be Like You... )

... @Tuvalu , @Doc Disney , and @TrolleyFollower91 !

After reading all of your mother-daughter trip reports, I decided it was time to take one with my mom! We've traveled together before, but either with my kids, my best friend, my brother and his family or my aunt and uncle. This will be the first Disney trip with just the two of us. We both have annual passes and were discussing how nice it would be to see Flower and Garden someday. So, someday is coming up in April!

Where: All-Star Movies (need to save our pennies for more important things, like Nomad Lounge)

When: April 24-27

Who: me (Kristen) and mom (Celeste)

So far our plan is to hope for a FoP fastpass, drinks at Nomad and to have dinner at Boma one night. That's it! We're planning to wing it the rest of the trip! Pretty sure we're going to skip Hollywood Studios entirely, neither of us is a Star Wars fan and we don't do ToT or RnR.
Can't wait to get there! Any magic friends going to be there the same time??

So we're attempting to get to MK since we have fast passes and the dessert party tonight. We've been at the bus stop since 1:59. It's now 2:30. No MK or even Epcot bus yet. 4 for Disney Springs, 3 for HS, 3 for AK. The bus board has changed no less than 25 times, it's gone up by 10 minutes, then down 2, up 4, down 3. It's maddening!

Hope a bus showed up and you made it!

So after our BTMRR rides, we snagged a fast pass to see the Backside of water where our skipper was a hoot but the obnoxious children of the family across from us were a bit much to handle (is it too much to expect of parents to actually watch their kids??). We wandered over to Tomorrowland to try to be galactic heroes... And failed miserably. Now it's time for Space Mountain!

Dessert Party viewing area made it totally worth the price! So nice to watch the show without being squashed. We waited in the grass area until after the hordes left, then went to Peter Pan to use our last flight but made a last minute decision to hop out of line and book it over to the Mad Tea Party in hopes of getting the new lantern photo!

Love these special photopass photos!
We moseyed over to Winnie the Pooh for a quick ride and when we exited it was 9:55 (park closed at 10). We decided to try for 7 Dwarves for the last ride of the night! Made it through the line and off the ride by 10:13! Checked out the new purses and dresses at the shops (loving that orange bird Dooney @sheriffwoody !). We decided to close out the night at the Wave lounge over at the Contemporary!

Not a bad way to end the night!

We spent our last day hitting the attractions we had missed the other day: Figment, Pixar shorts, Test Track, Gran Fiesta Tour and Frozen Ever After. We sampled some more of the flower and garden offerings, finished the Spike scavenger hunt, and saw the topiaries in the daytime. We even got to have a late lunch at San Angel Inn (made the ADR an hour beforehand) and got to sit right by the water so we could watch the boats go by. Heading back now to Coronado to get our bags and wait for the dreaded bus to MCO.
