Sounds like my Dad…. Since I was a kid…. There was many a time going to the theater as a family we had to elbow my dad cause he was snoring embarrassing loud

Yes, I was that dad too, more often than I care to admit. :cautious:
I always sat in the aisle seat, with my wife between me and our 3 kiddos, so she kinda’ blocked me and took care of the elbowing…!!!!! :hilarious:

No, nothing political about the above paragraph at all.
Wise up to what…? Insinuating I and others are unwise for voting the way we did…? You snarkily referred to me as trying to be “clever”, now this…?
The guy that was voted in was already there for 4 years and the world didn’t end.
I mean, who wants to go back to a secure border, low inflation, low fuel prices, low energy prices, low interest rates, low unemployment across all demographics, no major wars in the world (both of which are on the precipice of escalating into something much worse)…?
Considering how messed up things have been for too many citizens over the last almost 4 years, most of those of us who voted are willing to take that chance.
The guy that won is now left with a total mess that he and his administration have to try and clean up. Nice “smooth transition”, Joe n’ K.
Funny thing is, if he had won last time, he’d now be on his way out, and the other half of voters wouldn’t be losing there minds, but instead dancing in the streets…!!!
Please stop.

Nothing he said invited this political rant.

Please, ask the poster above my post to stop.

Did you even read his last paragraph…?!
If that isn’t a political dig at those of us who voted a certain way, I don’t know what is.
Either way, I’ll leave y’all to yourselves, as I’m never going to see this movie anyway, and the rest, ultimately, doesn’t really matter, in the grand scheme of things.

Gadot is clearly walking away with the movie based on the marketing. Last bit of the trailer feel like a repeat of Wish. 2025 is looking like it’ll be closer to 2023 for Disney.
Back when Snow White had a group of bandits instead of Dwarfs I thought they resembled the friend group from Wish, and I didn't understand what exactly was the difference between the two movies.

Looking at their 2025 slate here are the movies + my prediction:
- Snow White (flop)
- Lilo & Stitch (moderate success)
- Elio (flop)
- Freakier Friday (moderate success)
- Tron: Ares (flop)
- Zootopia 2 (huge success)

MCU:
- Captain America: Brave New World (flop)
- Thunderbolts (flop)
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps (success)

Other:
- Avatar: Fire and Ash (huge success)

Even at the 50% success that you're predicting, some of which I disagree with you on, that is still better than 2023.

The only two unknowns in my opinion are Elio and Snow White. The rest I think will depend on how good they are, but more likely to be varying degrees of success.

Not to change the subject but who has seen the latest Jaguar Ad 🤣

Isn't it incredible?!? 🤣 It replaced Rachel Zegler on the trending topics on Twitter fast yesterday.

Bud Light is now doing anti-woke ads, but it's far too little too late to gain back any of their lost market and money.

Jaguar was already hanging by a thread in the US market, and as a former Jaguar owner (over three decades ago), I fear this will do them in entirely. At least in the lucrative US market. Although I can't imagine it's an ad campaign that would work in Britain, either.

Disney has learned the hard way that it needs a radical revamp on how it manages its young stars. Too many companies are also learning the hard way that you have to put sane adults back in charge, because this new generation of sparkling young things and virtue signaling young execs just doesn't get it. :banghead:

Its not at all relevant, just a very funny Ad if you want to sell Jaguar's

I can see that Ad if you want to sell for example perfume.
The relevance, of course, is that this thread has much more to do with ideological trolling and venting than it does with Snow White. In that sense, the ad is perfectly in keeping with the “discussion” here.

The early look at Elio looked promising but it’s been silence for months now, I have no idea what to expect from it. Cautiously optimistic though.

As a reminder, here's the inflation adjusted box office for some of the previous Princess live action remakes of the past decade.

Snow White had a reported production budget of $270 Million back in 2023, before it got sent back for a year's worth of rewrites and reworking after the last PR mess this movie suffered. Snow White is also getting a tax credit from the generous British government of about $55 Million. Assuming the past year of reworking and CGI work tagged a conservative $25-ish Million onto production costs, it looks like Snow White will arrive in theaters next year with a production budget of around $250 Million after its generous tax subsidy is accounted for.

If Snow White can pull in numbers like Cinderella (inflation adjusted), it will likely break even. But if Snow White only performs like The Little Mermaid did, it will lose money at the box office. Do we dare think Snow White could do Beauty & The Beast numbers? I don't get the sense anyone here thinks so, especially after all the PR troubles Miss Zegler has caused it.

As reminded right from that same article you're misquoting -

"Hidden Heart Productions received a $55.5 million (£44.9 million) reimbursement bringing Disney's net spending on Snow White down to $213.9 million. "

That is the actual not the figure you're using. Anything else is just you guessing and not relevant to actual figures.

That is exactly I see Disney in 2025.

Moana 2 better make money for 2024 to offset 2025. Too bad Wicked will suck the life out of her.
