Don't know if anybody caught it last night but SNL did a Little Mermaid skit where they were all spoofing the Under the Sea song. At one point when Sebastian was singing, the wrapped body of Osama Bin Laden fell down and hit him on the head.

I'm not making any political comments here but the skit was pretty funny. Always like when the bring in Disney as a skit starter.

Very funny. As was Michael Bolton singing about Pirates.

I'm usually bored by the digital shorts but that was the funniest thing I have seen since the weird mother-lover stuff with Susan Sarandon, LOL.

As to the LM sketch - I did like it (and good for Disney a 20+ year old film is a SNL sketch, especially with a new ride to promote), but I didn't get why they didn't use names like Sebastian. It's not a copyright issue, it's clear parody. I thought that was interesting.

I wasn't amused by the SNL skit. Not because it offended me or anything, I just thought it wasn't well written and the current cast on that show sucks for the most part. The Lonely Island guys are hilarious! I love all of their songs and shorts.

I also liked the skit. I think its great how often Disney is weaved in to programming (SNL, Simpsons, etc.) to good effect - The Simpson's trip to Disney / EPCOT was a classic!

I know this thread is a few days old, but I just wanted to add that last year they did a spoof on Beauty and the Beast, where the Beast was played by Gerard Butler (mmm so tasty haha).

That was was funny for a little while, but it got weird when they brought Mrs. Potts in...

The Michael Bolton thing was hysterical, I've watched it like 4 times :ROFLOL:
