ABC is looking to get on the live musical bandwagon with Little Mermaid..

But it's not a live musical. It's some weird hybrid. The classic animated film intercut with live action musical numbers. Sounds dumb.

Booo! I just finished watching the Newsies Broadway Musical, saw this and thought The Little Mermaid was going to be given a second chance. Yah, this just sounds... weird.

It sounds cheap. ABC could absolutely do a live musical, but instead, they're weirdly just going to cut to a live concert of sorts.

You know, after reading some awful reviews about ABC's Dirty Dancing remake, maybe it's for the best that they're not truly doing Little Mermaid Live
