Toon Town in 20k, I love the idea! Bring it on! Aliens in Timekeeper, BAD. I like the bumper cars in COP idea ( CoP can move to EPCOT where it fits better ) but keep time keeper! No little green men! Tomorrowland would turn into the tomorrowland of Toons!

Excitied to hear about the Lagoon news. A new Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast ride would be great there. Either would fit perfectly with the theming. As for the LGM Bupper cars... :hurl: I don't like that idea at all. It's silly to have two attractions based on the same movie. If they really want to put in some Toy Story bumper cars, I say put them in MGM near Al's Toy Barn or Pizza Plannet. Having them in Mk would just be a terrible loss for the theme of Tomorrowland. Buzz and Stitch are OK, albeit a stretch theme wise, but a LGM attraction five steps away from the Buzz attraction would be a tragedy for theme.

The new ride would be themed to the Little Green Men from Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear, complete with “The Claw” hanging from the roof of the building. If approved, it will have to wait until Stitch is open, but it could happen before the 20K Lagoon project.

So great to hear that Disney is starting to make Tomorrowland more uniform. . . and stupid.

Couldnt've said it better myself meeko! I think the LGM thing won't be done because Rasulo probably wouldn't let such a thing happen. Toon Town would be totally great!

Oh boy! I can't wait until all the 20K Lagoon experts start to tell us about the toxic water theory and the wall implosion theory.

Well...
The rumor about a bumper car type ride going into Tomorrowland is true. There has been a plan for that for a while now.
As someone said, the earlier idea was to put it in CoP and make it an updated version of DL's old Flying Saucers. There was a LOT of resistence to scrapping CoP, so it is quite possible that Timekeeper has become the new spot.
As for the Little Green Men theme....possible, but doubtful. I don't see them using that much Toy Story in one place.

And someone mentioned Jennifer Tilly in Haunted Mansion....
that is becoming more and more likely. There is a plan to add her as Leota, as well as maybe a couple more small changes. Nothing definate at this point, but I would call it probable.

Toxic water?
To my knowledge the water in the lagoon is still being treated and filtered. It should still be within a few percentage points of meeting the federal drinking water standards.

WDW NEEDS A BUMPER CAR RIDE! Trust me it will be popular! I wouldnt mind Toy Story and Buzz. It wont be Green Army Men. It will probly be those green aliens! :animwink: The claw sounds awesome! I think it would be great if the amount of bumps you make is recorded. A space theme inside like space mountain would be cool also. I know Time Keeper is a favorite to some.. But its getting old... Not many people go see it...

Or how about another 360-circlevision...Call it magic carpet something or other and have it sponsored by Monsanto... :sohappy:

Search the database. You might be very surprised about what some people said concerning the water in 20K.

Drats. But I still don't see what room they have. Why not expand Tomorrowland. . . there is space! Or use the Speedway instead of a perfectly good attraction.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!!!!!

That *really* angers me. They should KNOW it's NOT going to work. . .

Agh. That's sick they would even CONSIDER it.

Wouldn't this bumper car attraction be EXTREMELY similar to the Buzz attraction at DisneyQuest? And do we really need two Toy Story attractions side by side?

As for the depressing HM news... Seriously, are the execs so DUMB they're actually considering messing with a classic? What, an Eddie Murphy AA to replace the caretaker and his scrawny dog? And an Johnny Depp AA all over PotC? I thought we were making movies from attractions, and not the other way around. :brick:

So what? At least we get less education and more...more thrills! YAY!! This is GOOD! Who cares? No one knows about that Buzz thing anyway. Geez... you parkgoers.

Those would be GREAT ideas! Mess with the original classics! Because we can do anything we want! Even if it means upsetting the fans...they'll still come to the parks, won't they???!!

(Keep in mind everything is GREAT so long as I get MONEY!!!!)

Please say that's a joke!

I like Haunted Mansion as it is and it still gets people coming! What's wrong with it?

As for the bumper cars: one word NO! What are they thinking? People will stop visiting because all the attractions excist somewhere esle! Be original for once! I'll move to Universal! (only kidding, disney is always choice #1!)

All kidding aside, I wonder if this is what goes through the suits' heads when they have to make a dumb decision. Do you suppose they figure we'll keep on going anyways, cause we love Disney, even though the Disney we love is slowly becoming extinct?

I doubt it! They won't bring in new fans this way!

Toy Story Two!?!

I agree...TWO Toy Story attractions side by side seem HIGHLY unlikely!

dxwwf3...what's wrong with putting ME in MY ride!?! I think that adding a few effects here and there wouldn't hurt the rides. The movies have kept the elements from the movies they have chosen to play with very true to the original rides and I see now harm in making a few changes to the rides to reflect the success of the movies (especially POTC!)

Very simple: it's NOT your "ride"! YOU are a product of a movie based on an attraction. If they add YOU to the attraction, it becomes an attraction based on a movie. Besides, we don't need 2-hour lines of teenage girls drooling for a Depp AA. If they wanna see him, let them get the DVD like everyone else.

I wouldn't mind if they added a new animatronic in the jail cell where the dog is of his character.

Agreed!
Besides, to me adding Depp would really take away from the timelessness of the ride. He would be a reminder of that "2003 POTC movie".
I would have no problem with him being in the GRM at MGM. But not in POTC.
