List of things not to Miss!

My family and I have been to Vacation Kingdom more times than we can count. Before we go, I always scower the web for "new" things. We are going again in June.
Can you please help me with a list of things not to miss?

What are some of your favorites?

What are small little things that often go unnoticed(besides HMs)?

When it comes to HMs, do you have one you think no one else has seen?
I do and haven't heard anyone talk of it yet! lol.

We will also have some first timers with us(Yeah, recruiting! lol) 3 of them are approx. 13yrs and one that's 23yrs. What was the most special thing that you loved that I should make sure they see?





We will be staying at the Carribean beach Resort, aiming for a pirate room(fingers crossed) and we are staying for at least 6 nights with park hopping and water park passes. Party of 12 w/ 3 under 6. Thanks!

If you have any character fans/princess fans, Princess Tiana and Prince Navine are in the gazebo in New Orleans Square behind the Christmas shop. Hopefully come July (when she's formally a Disney Princess) they'll find a more permanent locale for her.

We had to ask around a lot about her before someone knew where she was so our daughter could see her.

The Golf Ball!!! Make sure you go there, there is even a ride in it!!!!! :lol:

I would say if you have been there a ton of times then try to just take it easy and don't rush around and you will definitively notice things you have missed while rushing by.

We usually dont rush, especially since my son gets a red card so we can do rides rather quickly. The problem is, we tend to do what we always do just to get home and go "oh, yeah! We wanted to see that!" or "We didn't see that there!"

Yeah, its amazing we go 4-6 times a year (for about 5 years now) as we live semi close but there are still shows we have never seen or have only seen once.

I read a really terrible review of these pirate rooms online on a Disney site - something about the mattresses bc they cannot fit a real matress in the "ship" beds and apparently they are like sleeping on a box spring. It was enough to make me change my mind about the pirate room. FYI - you may not want this!

I will try to find the review for you.

If anyone in your group likes to draw, check out the animation studio in Hollywood Studios. The drawing classes are fun and easy, and you get to keep what you draw as a free souvenir :D

Feeling a little out of the loop here. I take lots of children to WDW and have never gotten a red card. What is it, and how do you go about getting it?

^ me too....I don't know what it is.

We stayed in a pirate room last May and let me just say...those double beds were mighty small. I don't know if it had anything to do with the ship bed or if I just haven't slept in a double for a really long time...My husband and I are averaged size ppl, we split up and each of us shared with one of our kids...my 13 year old ended up sleeping on the floor. Maybe we are just squirmy sleepers, but it's a tight fit. However, the decor was really fun and my 8 year old son loved it.

Sorry. It's a red pass that is given for guests with special needs. They stamp it with what needs to be done for that guest and the whole party gets to use the card, even if the guest doesn't ride. CM said cause Disney doesn't want child seperated from parents long. It's great
