Links in Older Posts

Does anybody know a workaround for accessing links to threads that are in older posts?

For example, when going through a thread from 2006 (specifically the famous Spaceship in SSE thread), anytime I click a link to a different thread that somebody posted to reference a photo or piece of information, it just redirects me to the main forums page. I've noticed this in a lot of older threads as well, where links to other posts and threads don't work.

I'm assuming the site has just been updated so many times that the links no longer follow the same format that they used to.

Here's a specific post from 2006 that contains a link to another thread, but the link doesn't work; it just redirects you to the main forums page:

I've seen this behavior in every old thread I've revisted, such as the F&G Altercation thread.

Copy/Pasting the link into a different tab doesn't work, either.
