Linking Magic Band with Disney Hotel reserved by 3rd Party?

My husband and I had booked Pop Century for this Memorial Day Weekend through hotels.com.

How do we go about linking our reservation to our MagicBands? I mean, I already know you go to the MDE and then click on My Reservations & Tickets, and enter the confirmation number and last name, which I did, and it doesn't work.

And last time I called Disney Customer Service, the lady I spoke to said that the people I booked the hotel through has to do it?

Anyone who booked through hotels.com and was able to link their magic bands to their reservation?

U most likely need to contact hotels.com. Their reservation number r different from Disney reservation numbers. Just let them know you need to know what our official Disney reservation number is and they will give it to you.
