Linking hard ticket events to your AP card

Does any one know if this means we don't need the paper tickets we printed out. Going Tuesday to the Halloween party and not sure if I should link or not. And if I do link the tickets what will happen.

I wish Disney had more clear information about things like this for me to EASILY find.

I would bring them with me just in case. I've known a couple of people whose park tickets mysteriously disappeared off their "bands", so having the printout would certainly help the case if that happens to you.
