Now a friend of mine and I are having a conversation about LTM & watching the Oscar broadcast.

Now, the Oscars are being broadcast on an EMH night at MK. Why the heck doesnt Disney celebrate the movies & oscars that week, culminating with the live Oscar broadcast on the Castle? The projectors could handle it.

I mainly want to see this happen so I can see the broadcast at be in the MK at the same time?

Do you know how many first-timers would complain about their once in a lifetime trip with the castle being RUINED like that?!

My gosh...

The Oscars are a California thing. If Disney were to do something like this, I see it being in California, not Florida. You never know, though.

Projecting the oscars on IASW in DL would be cool! Better surface to work with.

I think it could be a great event in DHS. They could have that fun band play during commercial breaks and if ant Disney affiliated films one fireworks or confetti.

That would definitely be awesome, but it would be even more awesome if they were projected onto a screen on the Rivers of America, like Pirates of the Caribbean premieres:

Exclusive rights are held. You can't just show something like that, the tv station has exclusive contract rights, usually for years in advance. cost prohibitive.

For me, any award program for any overpaid entertainer is a waste of time and money to begin with. I do not need to be force fed these ego maniacs more than I already am.

I personally think the Oscars are kind of a joke...

Just like in baseball, there should be times where ... (drumroll) the best picture of the year is: ___________ ah screw it, they weren't really that great anyway.

ABC is televising it, I don't think there would much of an issue in this case

And I too would vote for a viewing party at DHS if they were interresting in celebrating it, it's much more fitting, they could broacast it in LMA.

I think it would be cool if they were to put in movie theater seats in the GMR queue while taking out the queue poles themselves. That would never happen but would be cool to watch it in their.
