What is your opinion about the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show located at the Disney-MGM Studios? I thought it was a total dud. It reminded me of a bunch of amateur go-cart drivers on a skid pan! I am sure the target audience (10 to 14 year old males) is enthralled with this exhibition. For me, this show has joined the ranks of CBJ, M:S, Buzz Lightyear, and others when I said, "Well, I won't have to worry about standing in line for that one again.".

I was, however, impressed with the overall design and engineering involved in the show.

I loved it. I especially liked the first scene. The ballet one or something. All those close calls and coordinating driving blew me away. The biggest problem with the show IMO is the down time between the scenes.

I found it interesting and entertaining; however, I'm not sure how interesting it will be after finding out all of the secrets. When I saw it, the stadium was PACKED! I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure of the "replay" value.

I saw it yesterday. Although it was very cool in some instances, I don't find it to be something I'm willing to put on my "must-see" list. My brother (17) and sister (15, almost 16) thought it to be very cool too. But I have to wait and see if they're willing to see it again next time we're up there.

Of all the new attractions (and I've seen them all, LMAX, Lucky, Cinderellabration, and Soarin'), I have to say my favorite is Soarin' :sohappy:

I agree with you. Soarin' is indeed a very good show and worth repeat visits! The rest are not on my list either.

Lucky was very cool I was definitely impressed with him. I'd like to see this technology used in other ways in the future!
I saw Lucky and he was very cool. However, once was enough. Lucky just has no repeat value or quality that makes him worth seeing more than once, even with a different show or handler. Frankly, I got bored with the "Lucky Show" and walked away after I had taken 500 digital pictures. The "show" was still going on! I noticed that most guests did not stay for the full show. That is a sign of boredom!

Exactly. We saw him by chance yesterday. We went strictly for Dinosaur (rode 3 times in a row it was so empty :D). However, on our way there, we saw him and stuck around for a few minutes. Took a few pictures and then I had seen enough and continued to Dinosaur.

I figured that is what you are supposed to do. :lookaroun We saw him, were in awe, took pictures, and went about our business.

Ditto! I took some pictures. I saw him. I'm happy.

I got my mom addicted to Soarin' at cast previews. Last week I took her to see LMAX which she also loved. This says a lot, as she gets really uncumfortable watching extreme stunts and circus acts. She really enjoyed all of the car chases. I usually don't like shows with a lot of loud noises, but I could watch LMAX all day!

Didn't get to take mom to see Cinderellabration last week because I got really sick that afternoon.

While leaving the stadium the first time I saw LMAX I overheard this couple nearby:

Husband: "What did you think?"
Wife: "It was cute."

Ok, of all the descriptive words I can think of, cute is NOT at the top of my list!

How can you put M:S in that category. That is one of the best, well designed rides Imagineering has done yet???

I saw LMAX on video from Paris well over 1 year ago and have not bothered to go see it at MGM, even when I was there a few weeks ago. Soarin' is great, I'll see Lucky in a few weeks and no interest in Cinderellabration (just saying the title to that gives me the creeps :hurl: Not that I cared for the prior show either)

Stunt Shows in general bore me to tears. I want to be in a moving vehicle as opposed to just sitting there (although I do enjoy things like CBJ, CoP, etc.)

I'll eventually see LMAX, but since it's like CATS on Broadway (now and forever, or so they thought), I'm in no rush to see it.

The design of the area looks nice and gives MUCH needed life and energy to that area of the park. I just hope this forces out the Indy show for something new in the future.

LMAX is an interesting thing to see one or two times, maybe three or four times to get cool pictures...MAYBE...but I don't plan on seeing this again, or wasting a Fast Pass on it (unless I'm bored, or there's not wait and its empty)...Don't get me wrong, the show is great, but it loses its charm after the first couple of times you see it....its kinda like the Indy Stunt show...

I've never been a show kind of person (this is one of the reasons I despise The Studios) so perhaps my opinion is a bit biased...

:lookaroun :D

I like wait... love cars... and I would see it again. Some of the things they do during the show are pretty amazing. Those who don't appreciate it may not know the level of driving ability your watching. I can bet you will not see that type of driving ability that often unless your at LMX or a race track. LOL You guys are way to critical sometimes.

I love the show(have already watched it 3 times) I personally am into motorcycles, and those Super Motard bikes they ride are insane. I also like to watch alot of shows at the parks, so I'm quite happy with the addition of LMAX.

LMAX is fairly cool

I just saw LMAX this past Sunday: we got a fast pass, went and ate dinner at Mama Melrose's, watched the Muppets movie, and then saw the last show of the day. I'm not terribly into cars: I liked the show and will probably see it every 2-3 years. The advantage to fast pass is that the fast passes get admitted first, and get the best seats (right in the center of the stands).

The guy in front of us was a serious gearhead (he told us that he's fixing up an Opal) and he loved the show (he got a GREAT shot of the last stunt, just as the car was clearing the flames).

I expect that this show will be a bigger hit in the deep south (not that Orlando is the deep south, but it is fairly close) than it is in Europe.

I'm glad you said this, Woody. Our family opted to skip the LMAX show this past vacation because it didn't appeal to us. But that's Disney, having something for everyone.

I do know this--Soarin' was the tlak of every park. You heard Guests asking others if they've been "on that new Epcot one." However, LMAX was not on the tip of everyone's tongue, but its okay.

I'm sure I'll eventually see the show, but repeat value it is not.

Speaking of repeat value, we never made it to Mission Space this past May. There was no line, yet we didn't get in line.
