The Philadelphia Curse - noun.
1. known as, any Philadelphia sports team, usually making the playoffs, will undoubtedly lose in the finals.
2. said coach, player, or other team representative of any Philadelphia sports team, will, upon leaving said team, will within 5 years (usually <3 years) be part of another team to win the respective sports Championship.
3. any player from any other team, usually who has been a part of a previous championship, will undoubtedly be a poor performing player.
a). if said player that is now performing poorly, will be traded, becomes a free agent, retires (then unretires), etc and signs with a new team, will undoubtedly perform as well as he or she has done 5 years earlier.
