Isn't Mickey at the entrance suppose to be a lightning rod?
Yes, as @MatthewWho13 said, his right ear is made of copper. Nice pic if him being installed here.

From Disney directly: "Mickey is 5’3” tall while the spinning globe he stands on is 6 feet in diameter. His right ear is made out of copper in order to serve as a lightning rod. Both Mickey and the globe were created by former Disney master sculptor Perry Russ."

There is significantly more than one lightning rod on ToT. In general, there is significantly more than one lightning rod per building in the parks. If you get hit by lightning in the parks then that was some really determined lightning.

I feel safest in a thunderstorm while in a Disney Park. Due to the excessive amounts of lighting rods all over.

You can never have too many lighting rods.
