Lightning Lane Premier Pass

When was the last time you were in WDW? This is objectively incorrect.
Of course it is lol. People make subjective decisions on what they need to make their vacations enjoyable or worthwhile.

We spend limited time in the parks, so I need LLs to ride what was described in my circumstances.

I'm sorry, but your statement and my statement have nothing to do with each other.

I sort of get what you mean but the poster was talking in terms of what he felt was needed. I didn’t take his statement so literally. No one needs to buy something they don’t want.

Not to be overly pedantic (so sorry ahead of time), but he wrote, "I feel LL is NEEDED if you want..." which is a general statement for everyone and you wrote "We spend limited time int he parks so I need LLs..." which is a personal statement of opinion.

I was in WDW in 2025, even went to a Christmas party, I was able to get on TRON during party. The party wasn’t as good as I remembered in 2019. BTW, TRON cycles showing a lot of wear and tear; my cycle’s padding was all torn up. I wish I took a pic.

Anyway, ok you say it’s objectively incorrect that you need LL to get on attractions.

Folks are still purchasing LL, and LLPP is selling out, therefore I think they are purchasing LL more because they feel they need to more than they want to.

But, yes, you are right, you can get on more than three attractions without purchasing LL.

And those are far enough out that they are sold out by only onsite guests. Those dating off site that can only buy these 3 days before their arrival date didn't even get a shot to buy it

I really do think this is FOMO to get guests to buy Premier pass and slowly end the Multi Pass

Will be interesting to see how it evolved

There is a scenario where they do that and it winds up a better experience for all guests as fewer people with LL and in the LL and the standby lines move more consistently, etc and Disney still makes more $ .... But definitely might not work out that way

Usually how things work with a premiere product.

You don't *need* a $100k car but people like them and buy them

Having LLPP definitely makes for an improved park experience but that doesn't mean it is necessary to still have a good time
Agreed, Folks don't really need LLPP but its a nice flex as the younger folks say.

Disney loves to see when their guests do the "Disney Flex" and Disney LOVES THE MONEY (for nothing) TOO!

Its hysterical how people seem to want to “attack” anyone who purchases these. Yet noone ever comes after people who pay for VIP plaids? As i said before. We have people paying silly money to stay a “deluxe” resort that literally depending on how you do Disney can be basically useless if you spend most days in the parks and use a monorail system that stinks.

The VIP tours have been laughed at plenty of times, as have plenty of other upcharges, especially when they are new. Did you not read reactions to the price of the Starcruiser? Or the original paid FP for club level guests?

What I'm reading here is mostly people laughing the price of the upcharge.

Lots of people make unfortunate financial choices every day. Sadly, people losing are large sums of their retirement savings to pure scams, like romance scams and fake kidnapping scams.

Laughing is a way people protect themselves, or try to protect themselves.

Say what you will, but enough people publicly laughed at the Starcruiser that it became unpopular.

No, I would say enough people balked at the Starcruiser that WDW cancelled it. It was so over-priced that it was a "one-and-done" type of deal for even the majority of high-spenders.

As you said, there are plenty of opportunities for people to squander big bucks at WDW. If enough guests want to spend it, WDW will keep an offering available. If WDW doesn't feel it's getting the amount of return they hoped, it will get cancelled. I don't see LLPP going away, nor do I see LLMP/LLSP going away, though either may adjust a bit over time.

Not sure what this has to do with people choosing to buy a premium service that literally has a direct impact and result & unlike the Genie which is a mystery this is not. I know people in my industry that have purchased this already and loved it. The price for them was a non issue. Its selling it so that means there is demand. People are buying it that means there is a demand.

I would be interested to see if LLMP & LLSP are also in high demand on the LLPP sell-out days. Disney cashing in on all three offerings would make an argument for keeping all three for highest payout.
