The truth is, we all hate Genie+ and those who had this info are trying to protect it so that Disney doesn't change anything. I can't consciously promote this. The system is truly abysmal and if guests have to use exploits to get any value from it, they should be aware and embarrassed at this fact. Exploits cannot possibly be the way we get to a viable product. It needs to change.
Totally agree and ill add this…

Ive stated my success with FP+ and yet was unaware of any drop times for rides nor the “trick” to book rides during downtimes to get ME ones or book rides end if the night on rides that tend to go down to end up with another ME for the next day… “hacks” i learned literally the last year using FP…

I don't think that's an accurate read of the situation.

I know where this information was sourced from, and a good number of people have put in quite a bit of work logging daily data to verify it. I don't fault them for being irritated that you'd take the liberty to disseminate it widely, but I also don't think it's some sort of terrible crime.
If the people who put the information together and apparently disseminated it to some extent are not trying to protect the current system, why are they irritated at the information being more widely disseminated? If you choose to disseminate your work product without taking steps to protect it (if that can even be done), how can you possibly prevent "wide" dissemination?

Some have expressed their displeasure that I have shared some data aggregated by guests outside of this forum. The truth is, it doesn't matter. Disney doesn't care and they are not going to allocate resources to address the knowledge of a very, very fringe group of people; just like they didn't with the FP+ data. They are well aware that the data is out there as well as alternative methods of securing reservations; if they wanted to shut it down, they would've done so already.
What data did you share?

Fairly major release of all Disney systems occurred last night, including Genie+. It no longer tells guests when they are eligible for another LL. That's now on you to figure out every single time.
Wasnt that how it was in the beginning? Only said you werent eligible if uou went to book one beforehand

Probably because people complained "but you said I was eligible at 1pm and when I checked I couldn't get what I wanted" or something like that.

It seems like they are removing any remote chance of a customer arguing for a refund on this product.

I'm starting to lose hope that they will meaningfully modify this service next year. They always think big and then dial it back to 1.

sure, but if only 10% of guests bought it and you had it and could basically get any ride you wanted at any time, the design issues wouldn't be as big of a deal

(would likely suck for those that didn't get it as the standby lines would be enormous)
Honestly it would be fine if they 5x the price to $75 and restricted it to only 10% of guests so. Would be a pretty good deal for a line-skipping pass, even with one line skip only.
