Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I really think they should limit it to resort guests and a limited amount for APs not staying at a resort.
If they did that, I personally would never go to WDW again. I simply would not go to Disney and do Stand By lines only. I'm sure I'm not the only one - and Disney could not afford to lose a big chunk of guests who won't, or can't afford to stay in a Disney Resort.

I personally never stay in a Disney resort because to be frankly honest, we are up and out the hotel at 7am and don't get back till midnight..so it's pointless paying top dollar for what is really just an expensive bed.

Agree......Do a show, hit Disney Springs, take a boat ride, pub crawl on the monorail resorts, play golf, hang at the pool, see the fireworks........

Only thing I would do is hit World Showcase at Epcot and watch harmonious.........We could do a 5 day trip and 2 park days just to hit Epcot at night
Which begs the question, if you aren't staying in Disney to go to the parks, why not get a much better hotel for half the price off resort?

Some groups consist of both park and non-park guests. Some come for the golf or for a nigh5 or two before a cruise.

Some DVC members do resort-only stays, as do those with points they can use at the Swan & Dolphin. So the hotel room is free at the point of booking anyway.

Again ill beat a dead horse i truly dont understand how people felt FP+ didnt work... now granted certain users got more out of it than others but you can say that about anything in life let alone a disney vacation.
You forgot a small detail...YOU GOTTA PAY EXTRA FOR IT after paying $100+ to get in the park.

I have no idea why they didn't just keep FP+ but charge for it and only be able to use it once you're in the park.

As it seems the only reason people didn't like FP+ was because they didn't want to have to book in advance.

They needed to mix it up and pretend they weren’t just charging for what used to be free. They also had to add more limits so they could sell the headliners separately.

Yep....that was pretty obvious fron the start. But now more people have realised this and we all know its a disaster, surely they can just revert back but have it paid. There's then the same amount of rides available so should be as good (if not better) than FP+ as many won't pay so less users.

First off, the renaming of the term fastpass for a ride skip is one of the dumbest things I can think of as far as marketing goes in my lifetime. They could call the program whatever the hell they want, but renaming the line skip as anything other than a fastpass was stupid.

That being said, if you didn't choose ahead of time then it wouldn't be FP+ anyway. You can't use a line skip without being in the park, so if you meant something else by that please clarify.

I honestly believe that they thought by raising ticket prices and then layering another payment on top that few people would pay for this add on. That they've seen many more people pay already before international travel is flowing as usual means that it would just get worse. The idea behind G+ actually makes sense to me but their implementation at $15 is a fail

Doesn’t seem like something Disney would do.

Of course a fastpass system can be only when you get in a park. Just remind me how you book Universal line skips before you get into the park?

The whole reason anyone was moaning about GP+ was because they didn't want to have to book slots weeks in advance...other than that the system was a million miles better than Genie.

I would say Universal's system is better then FP+. I do understand why people loved FP+. It was free and accessible to everyone. IMO due to FP+ guests got used to not waiting in lines.

My question is how often to any of you visit parks not named Disney or Universal? Line skips are pricey at those parks and most people accept waiting is part of the deal when going to a park.
