When is that capacity getting fixed???? Probably never in our lifetime. Disney's best bets are either to raise the LL to Standby ratio or go the Universal route. Get rid of return times and price it so most don't use it.
That is already offered. That doesn’t address anything.

But if you have 4/10 rides down, you have less of a problem!

And if you have 1/7 down, you'd be even better off.

We know you think they’d somehow be better of with only 5 rides.

It's not about the number of rides. If you lose 30% or 40% of your capacity, you're gonna have a bad time.

And of course, there's still stuff to do at Hollywood Studios, people just don't want to do those things.

Nothing will address the issue til they add capacity. You and many others seem to be against having a system like Universal's. Skip the line systems only work when it's limited. I understand that's not how Disney uses it. They use it to control crowds. Doing it that way is part of why those who have bought Genie+ are upset. There isn't enough capacity for everyone to have Genie+.

Disney already offers a high priced, limited skip the line service.

I know they do. Having both DOESN'T WORK. There isn't enough capacity for everyone to have access to Genie+.

What gets me is how the majority of you say it's the lack of capacity as the reason Genie+ doesn't work. Since capacity isn't getting fixed ever the only option is to limit how many have access to Genie+. Whenever that's brought up the answer is always "they already have that". Around and around it goes. Making Genie+ available to everyone isn't working. Since you seem to have all the answers, what would be your plan to make Genie+ work better?

So with a large number of the HS rides down, does the anytime LL allow park hopping or are people stuck with only the park the ride is down?

If you know they already have it, then why keep saying they need to offer it?

Genie+ as an isolated product needs more capacity dedicated to it. That won’t make the park experience any better.

Why do you keep saying they need more capacity when we know d*** well its not happening? There is no possible way to make the park experience better for everyone. There is not enough capacity for that to work. The only solution is to limit Genie+ availability or make standby crawl and up the ratio of standby to LL.

Because...as much as people want line-skip systems to work at WDW, they won't until the capacity issue is fixed. All these systems are just distractions and ing money into the wind to satiate executive egos.

The capacity issue is not getting fixed. I disagree on it being distractions. IMO it also doesn't work if everyone has access to it.

Genie+ capacity is not the same as park capacity.

How so? Unless you're saying that there needs to be more shows, restaurants, and shops for people to go to when not riding attractions. IMO that doesn't change a lot. Outside of MK it's still the same issue. They need more attractions in those other parks for Genie+ to work. That you have to agree on. That's the reason I keep saying letting everyone have access to Genie+ doesn't work.

There is no possible scenario where this is true. The only way to curb demand is raising prices or putting admission restrictions up. You don't reduce demand by building more attractions.

Genie+ capacity is not the same as park capacity.

There is still Genie+ capacity available though. It's just getting ignored.
