If the day price for a ticket is higher for a given day, then I presume Genie would be higher for that day also. I tried to compare the tickets this week VS. Christmas week, I gave up, too many clicks to get there.

The amount of money I’ve spent for this place is insane. I’ve been saving for two years and it’s still maybe not enough.

I was kind of wondering if they were always going to "sell out" Monday and Tuesday of this week (we will see if it sells out today) and use it as an excuse to bump the price even higher starting Thursday due to "unprecedented demand".

I wonder if they are truly selling out, or just getting an excuse to raise prices again. Seems kind of odd to me that enough people are waiting until noon to buy G+ that push it over the edge. It sold out around 12:45pm yesterday.

Looks like I was right when i predicted Genie+ with no advanced booking, waking up at 7am and not allowing to choose return times wouldn't last a year was pretty darn close.......Where are all those apologists I used to debate on this thread? Would love to see where you are now!

I’ll tell you for the 4,000,000 time…and you won’t care.

1. The most vocal critics are diehard fans who see the direction being taken is a path to longterm disaster. Nobody wants that.
2. The model is they cannot push away masses of people by choice for “Philosophy”. The numbers don’t Work without large numbers of people in the parks spending money. Period. Any suggestion they can sustain it otherwise is fallacy.
3. This is a consumer - supplier relationship. The consumer has the ability to affect change and protect themselves by voting against bad policy. That hasn’t been happening…enough…yet.
4. The management does NOT care about the quality of parks after they leave. Don’t trust them. It’s not in their interests to protect them.

It’ll eventually correct itself. I mean, the entire premise is supply vs demand, so there will eventually be very real consequences. This is now a reactionary company like much of our society.

I wonder if they cut it off. Not a “sell out” but a “stop selling” sort of thing. I wouldn’t be surprised (with no data) if they tend to react to rather than plan ahead for this sort of thing.

It’s an arbitrary number…they cannot sell out.

Can they sell too many and make things a mess? Yes…but that’s not a sell out

Look at it from another angle: are park “reservations” full? No…they are not. So “sold out” is a number to try and organize chaos and shame those that didn’t buy

That was my thought too.

Convenient for “justifying” putting up the price for later in the week. In their eyes at least.

I don't think I've seen anyone say they prefer G+ to FP+. I was probably one of the closest ones that said other than the price, G+ isn't that much worse than FP+ to me. I'll standby FP+>Genie+>Legacy FP>Nothing.
