Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

the bolded part is key ... if it was $10 to book Big Thunder, Space Mtn, and Jungle Cruise ... or Frozen, Remy, and TT, or whatever - then fine

but if it is $10 per ride and the three you get are Big Thunder, Philharmagic, and Tea Cups due to tiering, then that feels more like paying $30 for Big Thunder and booking other stuff just b/c the system makes you

but will have to see the final version and how it works in practice

I think I just really hate tiering lol
Right, but your examples are the extreme.

If the tiers stick then getting Tiana, Big Thunder and Haunted Mansion will be possible. Now OK if you’re staying offsite you might need to make one of them Pirates, or Buzz.

We had tiering before, just not at MK. And MK has far more rides than the other parks.

Is is known if the Tier one would include Tron, Guardians, etc., or will those still be ILL? And if they are now going to be Tier one does that mean no more virtual queue? Or is the virtual queue already gone, I'm not sure.

I would imagine Tron and Guardians will stay as they are. I can't see them getting rid of the paid LLs as they bring in a lot of revenue

Maybe im wrong and i dont care what disclaimers they put out but if people only get 3 rides and basically cant book any more during the day. The PR nightmare will be tremendous and GS line will be longer than Frozen when it 1st opened for guests looking for anything back

I agree. I'm sure you will be able to book more after your first 3. My guess is availability will be limited

we don't know anything for certain but there has been no mention of dropping ILLs and those make a ton of $ for Disney so my guess is those stay separate an so each park loses one (or more) Tier 1 ride vs when FP+ was around (well, the non-MK parks since MK didn't have tiers)

Establishing a tier system kills Genie+ value completely. Can’t bring back tiers unless they kill ILL.
I don't think so unnecessarily but it depends on how the system works.

If you can prebook 3 LL's for the day and then your 4th is like the current system where it's +2 hours after park open then it'll actually be better because that means, you have 2 extra LLs in your pocket already.

If it's like FP+ where you can't book your fourth until you used up your 3 booked ones then it'll just be a slightly worse than FP because you're already down rides that are ILLs. HOWEVER it almost the same since you technically have more attractions at the top tiers (except in AK). DHS has Falcon and MMRR added to the list. Epcot has Remy and MK has Tron.

This would hurt AK the most depending how they tier everything without FOP in there. AK may not have any tiers.

This sounds awful right?

There is little value to paying for the old FP+ system, assuming the rules revert with Tiers. (Have to use up 3 before getting the next one).

Who says you would have to book all three? Just pre book one, and then you're on the old G+ rules except you're not doing this at 7AM.

I can't see them letting you book a 4th one til you use your first 3. It would leave nothing for those who buy Genie+ day of.

I actually don’t envision a 2 hour cooldown like the current system, instead you’ll need to empty the slate to get a 4th one.

If they keep the cooldown, it might not be as bad.

If they keep to the FP+ rules of no overlapping times, then no one will be booking their 4th until at least 2 hours after opening anyway.

Again it depends how they plan on doing it. They can limit the pre booking pools and just add inventory day of.

For example, if each ride has 100 LLs available a day, prebook is only open to 40 of them and the other 60 become available when the park opens. They've added inventory with FP+ before and they do VQ drops as well. So the functionality is not new and exists currently.

Sorry in advance not sure if this is the best spot… im heading to WDW in 2 weeks. I remember there were inventory drop time posts here way back when. Was wondering if anyone has an updated version of that or where i can find it. Willing to pay a sub fee as well if needed. Thanks
