The Liberty Belle Riverboat will be closed for refurbishment Tuesday, May 28, 2002 through Thursday, May 30, 2002. It will reopen to our Guests on Friday, May 31, 2002

Refurbishment Include Water Draining?

Does this refurbishment include draining the water from Belle's route (the lake)?

I was in the park after hours one night, and I saw the river being drained. Is that a nightly occurance?

I didn't think they drained the river every night.

I'm glad they're refurbishing the Liberty Belle. I was on it in Oct. 2001 and got burned while standing next to the smoke stack. It wasn't a bad burn but I did yell OUCH and my arm was red. Apparently, when the whistle blows from the stack, steam and droplets of hot water spray out as well. I hope they fix that or at least rope off the area near the stack/whistle.

It would be hard to predict where the warm water would land due to movement and weather conditions. You would have to basically rope off the entire upper level.
