Liberty Belle refurb being extended

...until MAY, so says Stitch Kingdom. That's a massive extension. Anyone know what they found when they started poking around in the waters over there? Or, did some development get greenlit?

They're going to tear it out and build Western River Expedition in 4 months

I'm anxious to hear why the refurb has been extended. Are they working on the boat? Maybe they found that it was in more disrepair than they thought. Or maybe someone dropped it back in drydock :lookaroun

I read on the Orlando Theme Park News site that the Liberty Belle is slated to reopen on February 4. Then it will supposedly go down for a longer refurbishment starting on April 16 and reopening on May 20.

Yes it will reopen on Saturday. It's just down right now for its annual Boiler Inspection.

I have seen this thing once in about 6 years. Seems like every time we go to WDW, it is out. Here we are again, going April 20-May 3 and its down again. lol I thought this would be a good way to get a sneak peek at BTMRR while it is down as well. Darn.

I just checked on the official website and it is showing that it is closed Feb 1 - May 20.
