Lets talk about the cheaters of Disneyland

We've all seen them. The guests in Disneyland who are fine with damaging other guest's experience for benefit of their own. Whether it's the classic move of pushing their way through a stand by queue while saying "my family is up there" Or it's trying to slip into the fastpass line without the cast member seeing them (I've only seen this happen in Disneyworld with Magic Bands, where confused guests overwhelm cast members) Maybe it's the person who calls dibs on an entire section of sidewalk for their friends future parade seats.

You can't put your finger on them all, but you know it when you see it. How do you deal with these? Do you prefer to ignore them and figure it's not worth your time? Have you ever called anyone out? Are us guests obligated to do a little park police work for ourselves? Just wanted to get your guys' perspective.

Many of the guests are like this. People are so obnoxious. They're loud, unruly, pushy, say despicable things, stare into their phones, bang the ride vehicles, throw garbage on the rides, spit on the rides, let their children molest you in line and climb dangerously onto objects, play awful pop songs on their phones, use their phones on the dark rides, take flash pictures on the dark rides, make out and dry hump disgustingly and cut in line with about 40 other people because they're together. Disneyland people. Ugh.

The only time I told a CM about an issue like the ones mentioned above was when a group of pre-teens thought they could get away with cutting us in line for Matterhorn.

I like the guests at Disneyland, for the most part. Even when I was a CM, I only ran into completely rude guests two times.

It's funny how much of a problem line jumping is at Disneyland. There isn't a line I stand in where I don't have someone pushing their way though the line even if I'm fairly far along. Were do people get off doing that? It's like they send one person into a line while others are on another one. Once those are finished you get ten people pushing their way in. Cast members do nothing.

I was at Magic Mountain yesterday and you really don't see that happen there anymore. There are signs everywhere that say line jumping is cause for removing from the park and they mean it! I've seen security remove people from line for exactly that.

Disneyland you can get away with murder.

100% agree that there needs to be a crackdown on line jumping! I've never seen this kind of behavior at WDW or any of the local parks I frequent including Kennywood, Hershey Park, Cedar Point, etc. These people know what they are doing- one person, usually the MOM, goes into the line while the rest of the group is on another ride & now the entire 10 person group has the right to cut the line. I've complained once before and got some free fast passes or something but that's not the point. I'm not looking for a handout/bribe like these cheaters would be looking for. I just want the rules of an orderly society to be followed.

I wouldn't recommend directly reporting this as you see it- don't let it ruin your day or anyone else's, but if you're walking past City Hall or talking to a CM you should mention that you see this behavior and believe that Disneyland should be more vigilant and take action.

I had to say something once at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. A middle age woman and teen ager with her decided to plop down in front of two elderly women I was talking to and a young couple with a child in a stroller less than 10 minutes before the night parade was to start. Our group was up to curb. They were sitting in street. I explained to them that Disney does not allow sitting in street during parade. They basically told me off and stayed were they were. Then a cast member comes and tells them they can't sit in the street. They then tried pushing back these two elderly women and the couple with child so they could be in front. I told them no. The two ladies, the family and I had been where we were for more than 1 hour. That they need to respect others and move behind us and not the other way around. They told me off, a Disney cast member finally tells them to move back as the parade is now almost at our location.
After parade they kept it up, loudly saying we all should have been made to move back instead of them. And at the end the teen comes up to me and says "Merry Christmas _____." You fill in the blank, it was nasty.

We were in line for Roger Rabbit on Monday and we were within 20 feet of getting in a car and I couldn't take it anymore. I just excused myself to everyone I passed till I got past em all. Of coursebI just kept on going to the exit because my 5 year old had been doing the I gotta pee dance through half of the queue. I haven't the foggiest idea what that ride is about.

We also made the decision to forego the fireworks and parade because we didnt know the drill and just decided fighting the crowd wasnt worth it.

Good for you to stand your ground. They've probably saw the parade before too.

I don't have a problem if one person is waiting in line and a couple of people (usually their kids) join them as long as the number is small. Basically if the same amount of space on the ride would be taken up by either the single person or the ones that join them it doesn't really impact me and it doesn't really bother me (particularly with small kids who tend to need to use the bathroom at the most inconvenient times). It is when there is one person in line and then 10 of their friends join them is when I get annoyed.

People trying to jump in front of my family waiting on a parade are even worse, those can impact your experience a lot more than having to wait a few extra minutes for a ride. We don't have a problem if someone behind us has small kids who want to sit at our feet so they can see the parade, that is usually fine (if it is just the kids) and they don't block our view (we have even offered to let them do that in the past when we have seen little kids behind us that can't see). As long as they don't act entitled about it and ask nicely I don't have a problem being nice to some little kids. Adults and teens on the other hand are another matter, there is a difference IMO opinion between someone who can see the parade but it maybe isn't the "best" view and a 5 year old who can't see anything at all.

On the other end one thing that really annoys me is someone who has spread out their stuff reserving spots for their family and then when they arrive they have taken up about 3 times as much space as needed. Inevitably once they clear their stuff out it is people who just arrived who jump into the prime location before we even have a chance to move.

I was at the parks tues-weds. This happened a couple times where about 5 people would come barging through. It is really annoying especially since you've been standing there for the last half hour. You should be given a 1 shot tazer when you enter the park. It would make me feel better lol.
